Infrastructure Facilities at Roorkee College of Engineering, [RCE] Roorkee:

Roorkee College of Engineering has state of the art infrastructure facilities. Some of the facilities available at Roorkee College of Engineering are mentioned below:

Classrooms:

• The classrooms of Roorkee College of Engineering are designed to be spacious and are well-furnished
• The students get the opportunity of learning in natural light and it offers the most conducive environment
• All the classrooms are equipped with CCTV cameras, LCD projectors, podium, etc
• All the classrooms have an area of 75 square meters and have a capacity of holding 75 students.
• The rooms are designed in such a way that seminars, presentations, and lectures can be carried out easily.

Library:

• The central library of the institute has a collection of thousands of books by prominent authors
• Along with the academic books, the library also has journals, database, general knowledge handbooks, yearbooks, reference books and many more
• It has a subscription to numerous national and multinational journals and magazines
• The library is well-furnished and has a seating capacity of 150 students at a time in the reading hall
• The digital library of the institute has over 3,000 e-books
• The library also has a reference library built in an area of 400 square meters with books in engineering and technology, social sciences, humanities and basic sciences.
• The main aim of the library is to meet with the growing needs of the students and provide them with resources.

Internet Connectivity:

• The campus of Roorkee College of Engineering is equipped with high-speed internet connectivity
• It has a network of optical fibre cable throughout the campus including the hostels
• Wifi facility is also offered to the students throughout the campus and is not restricted to just classrooms
• The internet speed at the campus is 100 Mbps.
• The coverage of Wi-Fi is not only restricted to classrooms but also extends to all the areas including the library, hostels, and cafeteria. 

Cafeteria:

• The cafeteria of the college is air-conditioned and spacious
• It offers nutritious and delicious beverages and snacks at nominal prices
• A normal vegetarian meal can be found at a price of INR 25/- only.
• The cafeteria is maintained by the institute authorities as well.
• The management of the institute keeps in check all the food joints and the cafeteria in the campus

Sports:

• Apart from academic excellence the institute also focuses on overall performance as well.
• The college sports facilities include a cemented basketball court, lawn tennis court, volleyball court, shuttle badminton court, football court, cricket court, and athletic field and gymnasium facilities. 
• RCE also provides indoor facilities for table tennis, caroms, and chess.
• Students will be under the supervision of trainers/ coaches during the events.

Transport:

• The institute provides transport facilities to its students.
• RCE has its own fleet of buses that are used for transportation to the adjacent places.

Medical Facility:

• The first aid medical facility is available round the clock.
• A small dispensary in the campus with all necessary requirements caters to the medical needs and emergency services.
• An advanced air-conditioned ambulance is available on the campus with the collaboration of Rotary Club Midtown, Roorkee, in which the ICU facility is available.
• An experienced medical technician is also available in the ambulance round the clock.

Hostels:

• Roorkee College of Engineering offers American style apartments in the hostels
• The entire hostel area is wifi enabled
• The hostels have a common TV room and facilities for outdoor and indoor games as well
• At present, the campus has 2 boys hostel - Munna Lal Bhawan and Krishna Dev Bhavan with a capacity of accommodating 600 boys
• The campus has 1 girl hostel - Prem Lata Bhawan with a capacity of accommodating 150 girls
• All the hostels have the facility of the study room and group discussion along with a daily newspaper facility
