Entrance Exams & Admissions : The applicant must successfully complete Karnataka 2nd PUC or other equivalent examination with Mathematics as an optional subject. The candidate should score a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in all the subjects in the qualifying examination. The candidate should score a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) in the CET. Minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility in case of (SC/ST,CAT-1,IIA,IIB,IIIA &IIIB) Candidates is 40% aggregate in Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following optional subjects Such as -Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science & Electronics along with English as one of Language. 

Placements & Internships : There is no internships or placement conducted in college. No company hires from this college. Alumni network doesn't work for the sake of the students.

Fees & Scholarships : The course fee is Rs 52,000 per year. The scholarships are available through the college. Loan's are optional, but they are not difficult to get.

Academics & Faculty : The class timings are from 9am to 5pm. Practical are kept for 3days in a week but there is no organized laboratories and equipment are outdated and don't work, few branches give excessive assignments which are time-consuming. According to students teaching quality is very poor. The staff has very fewer members who have done Ph.D. The overall experience in the college is very poor. Not at all helpful for our future.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There is one hostel for boys and one for girls. The mess food is not good. The hostel fees are Rs 40,000. The quality of food in the campus is good at Rs 70 per meal. There are no PGs available around the college. Worst quantity classrooms, and some labs doesn't have equipment to do work, and for some branches there are no labs at all. Library doesn't have any good books except text books, and is not well maintained, Wi-Fi is not good works very slow, there is no dining hall in college as the one which was being used has been closed.

Clubs & Associations : There are no student association or clubs in the college. The main festivals are Freshman Celebration, Annual Day Celebration, and Farewell Celebration. Life in college is simply wasting your precious time and money in RTE Sociey's Rural Engineering College, [RTESREC] Gadag.
