The Library and Information Centre has dedicated team of skilled staff members, headed by Harish H.T, M.L.I.Sc., M. Phil., (Ph.D) Librarian and Head with 5 years of experience and he has published and presented four papers in International conference in the Library and Information Science field.
The institute Library and Information Centre is aesthetically housed in a three floored building area of 1250 sqm with adequate space and good ambience. The library (includes MBA/M.Tech) has a total collection of over 13000 volumes of reference and textbooks, 3500 titles, 53 national and 32 international reputed print journals covering all branches, besides 1150 learning CD-ROMS, Data Books, Project Reports, and e-books etc., Xerox facilities have also been provided in the library.
The Library and Information Centre intends to offer comprehensive services related to dissemination of knowledge also in augmenting technological advancement of e-resources. Under J-Gate, ASTM, IEEE, Elsevier (Science Direct), McGraw Hill and Springer online e-resources and digital library full-text journals access facility is available. The completely automated library management system uses commercial Library automation software Easylib. This software has made it easy to all it's activities through Bar-Code interface with an OPAC facility. Multiple copies ensure that resources are easily available in Reference Section and Circulation Section as well. The digital library is setup by using Dspace software for the use of students and staff members to access the e-resources and also Institutional Repositories like e-books, e-journals, faculty publications.
The library houses all standard textbooks as per the syllabus of VTU and other relevant books of international standard on each topic for further reading of the student. The college follows a policy of buying multiple copies of many of these books to make them available to a large number of students.
The institution is providing its students and employees basic required gourmet such as breakfast, lunch and other common snacks and beverages through this outlet, which is run by an external agency. Basic South and North Indian cuisines are available in the cafeteria. During Cultural fests, Tech fest and Sports activities the cafeteria will be buzzing with students. Generally it is one of the key places where students can exchange their views freely.The cafeteria can accommodate hundred students at a time and a separate place has been earmarked for the staff.
The institution has two separate hostels for boys and girls in its campus to cater to the needs of the students from others parts of the country. Each hostel is provided with its own kitchen and dining areas and is supported by a team of well experienced cooks. The hostels are maintained for the cleanliness by a team of maintenance staff and for any other problems it will be attended immediately by the concerned person.
The girl's hostel has three floors with more than 50 rooms. Three students are accommodated in each room. The food bills are on sharing basis. Two residential wardens who are also faculty members of the institution look after the hostelites. The boy's hostel is a four storied building with100 rooms, which can accommodate around three hundred students.
Transport
The college has a fleet of 10 buses running from different parts of Bangalore for the comfortable and tension free commuting of students and staffs. The charges are nominal and affordable. Pick up and dropping off points will be as per the convenience of the students and staff. There is a plan to add few more buses to the fleet so as to spread the wings of transportation to almost every nook and corner of Bangalore.
