Saveetha School of Engineering widely known as SSE was established in 2001 is situated in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. The college was begun by Dr. N.M.Veeraiyan is a part of his journey in the field of quality education. The college is part of the Saveetha Medical & Educational Trust under Saveetha University. SSE is recognized by the University Grants Commission and was awarded an A grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The 120-acre campus is surrounded by scenic beauty and is about 8 Km from Poonamallee township.

SSE consists of well-equipped laboratories with state-of-the-art computer equipment and gadgets and a spacious canteen. In SSE the students are provided with an atmosphere conducive to pursue their studies freely. Saveetha School of Engineering Programs Offered:

SSE offers various UG, PG and doctoral programs in the field of engineering and technology for its prospective students applying. At present, due to circumstantial reasons, the college is conducting lectures online using various platforms such as Google meet, Zoom, Kaizala etc.

The college offers Ph.D. programs as a part-time and full-time degree. Here the full-time course for a duration of 3 years and the part-time program is covered for a duration of 4 years.

Saveetha School of Engineering Infrastructure:

The college provides a variety of facilities for its students providing an ambient atmosphere for learning. The facilities at the college are resource centre, laboratories, lecture halls, seminar halls, hostel facilities, geology lab, vector machine lab, sports facility, IT facilities and many more. The learning resource centre houses more than 30,000 books and a variety of academic magazines. It can at a time accommodate more than 200 students and is equipped with an exclusive e-journal section, Small group Learning, Reprography and Reference sections. From the Basic science courses to the department courses, SSE has well-equipped Laboratories.

All High-end equipment is in place and many of the courses are integrated and are taught in the laboratory. SSE provides the best IT facilities to its faculty and students on campus. With more than 1000 computers and 2 servers, WIFI throughout the campus, and Smartboards in all classrooms, they provide an etch in their teaching and learning methods. With new MILA based teaching, SSE brings in technology inside the classroom and impart an inquiry-based education to our students. The college’s lecture halls are equipped with smart boards, Wi-Fi connections, projectors etc to make the teaching-learning process very easy for both the students and the handling staff. To keep up with the needs of the upcoming technology and trends in the respective field, each department conducts numerous seminars, workshops, guest lectures, symposiums, competitions, National / Inter National conferences. There are 6 Seminar Halls in total which exclusively are assigned for these programs and they go almost busy every day.

SSE has established Vector Mechanics which is one of the three labs in the entire state of  Tamilnadu. It is very important for Mechanical, Civil, Automobile, Electrical students to understand the importance of mechanics behind the analysis of load. With a wide range of housing options from Single bath attached to four-in-one rooms, the college hostel is well spread and provides the best possible food. Weekly, Hostel committee and Mess committee meetings are conducted to ensure a comfortable stay for students. With a sprawling cricket ground, exclusive Tennis courts, to Indoor games, SSE encourages its students to actively participate in sports. The students have participated in various sport events(cricket, basketball, volleyball, throw ball, yoga, etc) and have brought laurels to the college. The college also provides Sports scholarships for students who have won State / National Level competitions.

Saveetha School of Engineering Eligibility Criteria:

The college has laid out some criteria to be satisfied by the student in order to be eligible for admission in any of its offered programs.

Saveetha School of Engineering Admission:

The college has a dedicated admission office set up for clearing all the queries regarding the admission procedure. The candidates willing to apply to the college can refer to the following steps to get a clear view of the admission process.

• The candidates are supposed to register with the college by filling up the registration form which is available on the homepage of the college website or by calling 8939994247 or by sending an e-mail to enggadmission@saveetha.com or by even walking into the admission office at the campus on any working day.
• After registering as a prospective student by any one of the above methods the candidate will be assigned, a designated Admission Counsellor to make the process hassle-free.
• The designated Admission Counsellor will give guidance to admission based on the Cut Off Marks* obtained in the higher secondary (10+2) examination either Maths, Physics, Chemistry Stream or the Vocational Stream (Vocational groups in Engineering/ Technology) as prescribed by the Govt. of Tamilnadu.
• This guidance shall happen either through Single Window Counseling conducted by the DOTE through Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) or Counselling conducted by the Consortium of Self Financing Professional, Arts and Science Colleges in TN.
• The selection is purely provisional and always subject to confirmation from the Anna University/ Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai.

Selected students can then remit the admission fee and confirm the admission with the college at the allocated date.
