College Placement Fair 2016
05On the recommendation of IQAC, the Career and Placement Cell of Shree Damodar College organized a Local Placement Fair 2016 on 27th February 2016. The objective behind having this fair was to bring companies and our students at one platform and provide maximum opportunities for both of them and also to encourage them.
The invitations were sent to almost 43 different firms, companies and establishments across Goa out of which 09 participated in the fair and 6 of them will be visiting in near future.
The fair was inaugurated by Principal, Dr. Mrs. Prita D. Mallya at 09.00 am in the smart class room. While addressing the gathering she mentioned that the students should change their attitude towards learning, should focus upon overall development and should choose career options wisely. She also mentioned that many students don’t want to leave Goa, so having this type of fair wherein we invite companies from within Goa and provide opportunities to the students will be win-win situations for both.
22The Placement Brochure was released at the hands of Dr. Mrs. Prita D. Mallya and distributed to the Career and Placement Cell Team members. She appreciated the effort taken by the team in organizing the event and preparing the placement brochure.
Approximately 150 students from Third year BCOM, BCA, BBA(FS) and Second Year MCOM participated in the placement fair. The companies which participated in the Local Placement Fair were Club Mahindra, Professional Career Consultancy & Placement, HDFC Sales Pvt. Ltd, Auto Industries Goa Pvt. Ltd., Caculo Group, Imperial Wealth Services, Kakode Trading Ltd., CodeMax IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and Sunmarg Business Matrix Pvt. Ltd.
The placement process continued till 5.00 pm and the feedback was collected from each company at the end. The Common Feedback was that it was well organized and they appreciated the concept of having local placement fair.

Placements & Internships : The college has a placement assistance cell, provides training for interviews, prepares you for competitive exams, banking po, and various exams, offers plenty of training courses opportunities.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : GMAT, high secondary school education from any board. Due to covid restrictions, all entrance exams were waved off. 75% cutoff for Bba admission is required.
Fees & Scholarships : 37000/- I have received a scholarship for my performance in 12th std, which is carried forward every academic year till the final year 17 is the average number of students. Only the merit listed students have received the scholarship Loans are usually not chosen as the college has divided the fee payment into 4installments hence it is convenient for students to accommodate their passion for finance while taking a part-time job too.
Academics & Faculty : The daily routine involves learning, class activities, seminars by industry professionals, tournaments, exams as in 4unit tests and semester exams, assignments, and presentations. The BBA course involves around 20 presentations in 3 years. Quality education and teaching faculty are no doubt determined to give you the best; leading finance colleges in Goa.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are no inbuilt hostel facilities; however, there is a women's hostel within walking distance of 5mins. High-quality classrooms with state-of-the-art facilities are provided.

Placements & Internships : It's a three-year course which includes 6 semesters. 2 semesters for each year. Students have to do the internship for 6 weeks. (only in the finance department, with or without stipend). The students have to do two internships for 2years. Finance departments like insurance companies, Banks etc.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : A candidate must have the qualification of 10+2 pass. There is no such entrance exam practiced by this institution. The cutoffs for BBA(finance) is 50%
Fees & Scholarships : Per year fee is INR 35000/- No scholarships. Loans are not needed actually. The institution allows you to do the payment in installments.
Academics & Faculty : Class timings are from 7.45 am to 1:00 pm. Projects are given. (Mode of internal marks) Presentations are taken(Mode of internal marks) Assignments are given to do. (Mode of internal marks) The method of teaching is good. Each class is provided with the projector. So far the experience is good.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are no hostels as such. There is a canteen in college. Even the food is good. (Biryani INR 50 per plate) All the classes, labs, library are well furnished and it is wi-fi enabled college.
Clubs & Associations : There are many clubs to join Leo club, creative club, nature club and so on. Sports and culture are the main festivals on campus. The life in this college is good.
