Silver Jubilee Government Degree College Kurnool is a NAAC ‘A’ accredited college located in Kurnool, state of Andhra Pradesh. This autonomous institution emerged on the glorious eve of Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Indian Independence in 1972. It is a state-level residential college, set-up by the erstwhile Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, the late Shri P.V. Narasimha Rao.

Silver Jubilee Government Degree College offers graduate degree courses in Humanities, Science, and Commerce. It also offers postgraduate programs in Telugu, English, Physics, Commerce, and Economics under various specializations.

Silver Jubilee Government Degree College Application Form

• Applications for the various courses at Silver Jubilee Government Degree College are invited via advertisements in leading English and Telugu dailies in Andhra Pradesh.
• Candidates can obtain the application forms (ICR form) and prospectus from the college admissions office.
• In the envelope supplied by the college along with the prospectus, candidates must enclose the following documents:-

1. Original ICR form.
2. Photocopy of the ICR form.
3. Photocopy of 10th Standard mark sheet (as D.O.B proof).
4. Photocopies of 10+2, graduation mark sheets.
5. Photocopies of 10+2 and graduation pass certificates.
6. Domicile certificate.
7. Character certificate from the last institution attended.
8. Caste certificate (if applicable).
9. Physically handicapped certificate, duly signed by the relevant authority.
10. 2 envelopes of 8”x 4” size with postage stamp of Rs. 5 affixed.
11. Acknowledgment card with the address of the applicant affixed with a postage stamp worth INR 5.

Silver Jubilee Government Degree College UG Admission 2021

SJG Degree College offers 3-year undergraduate programs in Arts, Science, and Commerce. Candidates must clear 10+2 board examinations in the stream applied for (Arts/Commerce/Science) in order to be eligible for appearing in SET, the institute level entrance test. Those applying for B. Sc Pure Science courses must have Maths, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects at the 10+2 level. Candidates applying for B. Sc Life Science courses must have Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.

Silver Jubilee Government Degree College Eligibility

Candidates who meet the basic eligibility criteria must appear for SET or the Silver Entrance Test to gain admission in the course of their choice. Applications are invited via advertisements in leading English and Telugu dailies of Andhra Pradesh. Candidates are tested on their knowledge of the English language and 3 subjects of Arts/Science/Commerce stream, depending on the subject choice of the applicant. Examinees must answer 160 multiple choice questions in 150 minutes (2 ½ hours) and score at least 64/160 in order to qualify.
