As the Institute's ideology rests on shaping the future of students who undergo education at the Institute, students are provided comprehensive facilities for the B.H.M.S Degree course. Apart from imparting medical skills, the training methodology is structured to develop every student's ability in diverse fields - from problem solving and teamwork to communication, professional and interpersonal skills.

Premises:

The large premises of the Institute provide ample space for spacious classrooms, library, laboratories, administrative block and hospital. The total covered area is approx 56,000 sq. feet. Decent and modest Hostel facility for girl students is also available within the campus.

Library:

The Institute has its own comprehensive library with approx 2000 books exclusively for its students and faculty. These books serve as a rich source of knowledge and build a positive interest in studies.Library is equipped with multimedia computer and medical related CD ROMs. It has an excellent range of Indian & foreign books, Homoeopathic magazines and reference manuals help to build a firm academic base and also keep students abreast of the latest developments in the medical world. Library membership is mandatory for students and faculty members.

Teaching Methodology:

Teaching methodology has been designed to impart knowledge to the students in a systematic and smooth way. A balanced combination of lectures, practical and assignments ensures conceptual inputs assimilation of theoretical background and practical skills and an effective performance in live situations. A panel of visiting faculty of academicians and professionals from formal universities/colleges and private sector is maintained to cater to specialized subjects. Process of learning is made interesting by means of multimedia computers, CD ROMs, OHP, LCD & slide projectors.

Lectures:

In-depth coverage of subjects is provided with emphasis on concepts, and understanding of the basics. Practicals Students are given structured lab assignment during practical sessions, to enhance practical & clinical skills.

Personality Development:

To maximize your learning potential, you will have an academic counselor assigned to you. This 'friend, philosopher and guide' will mentor you constantly throughout your education in the Institution.

Quality Assurance:

There is a comprehensive system of student feedback, faculty feedback and faculty training to ensure high quality of learning.

Extra Curricular Activities:

Cultural activities, Quiz Competitions, model making, chart making, declamation, debates etc are held periodically to bring out the hidden talents of the students. Students are also motivated to take active participation in various Seminars, National Programs like World Health Day celebration, World Red Cross Day, Pulse Polio campaign, AIDS awareness camps etc.

Educational /Pharmacy Tour:

Educational tours are arranged from time to time to various Homoeopathic medicine manufacturing units & to familiarize the students with flora of medicinal importance in relation to Homoeopathy and also tours for excursion purposes.

Sports:

"A healthy mind resides in a healthy body " Keeping this proverb in view, various indoor and outdoor sports activities are organized by the college to keep all the young medicos in best state of their health and shape and to inculcate the team spirit in them.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There is one girl hostel at Solan Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital which is run by the college and the fee is rs.54000 per year. There is around4-5 PG outside college and their cost is almost same as that of college hostel i.e.,rs54000per year. They give us good food. The food fee is included along with the hostel fee. Quality is okay 

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria:10+2 in PCB(physics, chemistry, biology)from any recognised board with 50% marks in the mentioned subjects. Yes, I took the BAMS/BHMS Entrance exam held by HP University. The cutoff for Solan Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital is according to the merit lists. But OBC/ST/SC have to score at least 40%and 50%for general candidate.

Placements & Internships : As I am a 1st-year student at Solan Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, it is clearly known that I have no experience in this field. The marketing and sales for homoeopathic medicine are very much in demand for skin care products

Fees & Scholarships : My course fee at Solan Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital is Rs.66,500 per year. As it is a.private college, there is a no.such thing as a scholarship.  I don't think our college students gets any kind of scholarship. No, there is no.loan facility at Solan Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital

Academics & Faculty : Our college timing is from 9:15 am to 4:00 pm at Solan Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital. In a day 5 classes and two practicals are held every day. Each class is a duration of 45 minutes and each practical is a duration of 1 hour 30 minutes. Projects are given for every subject through a group activity. 

Clubs & Associations : There is an anti-ragging committee for the students at Solan Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria at Solan Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital are:-10+2 pass in PCB(physics,chemistry, biology)with 45%marks (for ST, SC, OBC)and 50%(for general) in these subjects from HP board or from any recognised board and entrance examination followed by personal interview The examination I took is the BAMS/BHMS Entrance Test which is held by HP University. The typical cutoff for our course: - It is strictly based on merit lists/merit subject. The expected minimum cutoff to be secured by OBC/SC/ST candidate is at least 40% and 50%for general candidate.
