Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech:

The Candidate shall have passed the second year Pre-University or XII standard or Equivalent examination held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects:- Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology, computer Science and has secured not less that forty-five percent (45%) of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the language for admission to Engineering & Technology courses.

Provided further that the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility shall be forty percent (40%) of aggregate in optional subjects in case of candidates belonging to the ** Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other backward classes specified in the relevant Government order for the purpose of reservation in respect of Engineering and Technology Course.

The relaxation in academic eligibility is extended only to Karnataka candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and other Backward Classes.

Application Process for B.Tech:

Candidates belonging to the state of Karnataka can avail an admission into the institution in three ways as follows:

• Through the Common Entrance Test(CET) conducted by the Karnataka Education Authority(KEA) which is the state education board.This entrance test allows only the students of the state of Karnataka to get an admission into the institution.

• Through the COMED-K(Consortium of Medical Engineering Dental Colleges in Karnataka) entrance test for both Karnataka and non-Karnataka candidates.

• Through the management or institutional quota reserved by the institute for both Karnataka and non-Karnataka candidates.

Admission Process for B.Tech:

The very basic requirement for any candidate seeking admission into the institution is that he/she should have qualified the eligibility criteria set by the institution.

Further, the candidate should have to appear for either of the KCET/COMED-K entrance examination.

The candidates can also attain an admission into the institution by the institute quota(management quota) if any seats remain unallocated.

After going through the counseling process of either of the KCET/COMED-K entrance examination, the candidates are expected to lock in or report back to the institution respectively.
