The Sri Venkateswara University in Tirupati was established in 1954. The University offers a wide range of courses through its 8 constituent colleges. It has over 400 qualified and trained faculties. It has 58 departments under which it provides the various courses.

The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses in the fields of Arts, Commerce, Science, Management, Education, and Social Work. The SVU DDE admission is based on the eligibility criteria. Some of the highlights of the University are mentioned below:

The Directorate of Distance Education was set up to provide opportunities to those who are not able to join the regular colleges and to help the working professionals to improve their skills. It also provides quality education at a low expense. The correspondence courses were introduced by S V University in 1972. Later in 1995, it was upgraded as the Directorate of Distance Education

SVU DDE Facilities

The SVUDDE offers certain facilities to the students. The DDE is located inside the University campus. The candidates can enquire about the course materials by contacting the concerned faculties during office hours in the phone number mentioned in the University website www.svudde.in.

The students will be provided with the study materials after the admission. It also provides a library which can be accessed by the students during the working hours. They can also issue one book during the contact program classes after which it should be returned back. They can also use the SV University main library for reference purposes.

The students can use the multimedia lab in the DDE which provides internet facilities. The distance learners can clarify their doubts by contacting the Guidance Cell. They will also assist the students in uploading the exam or admission applications online.

For all the courses Contact Programme Classes will be organized, usually during the holidays for the students’ convenience. During the CPC, practical exams, etc the students can stay at the Working women’s hostel near the DDE on payment basis.

The candidates can download the application form from the college website. The form should be filled after reading the eligibility criteria. The application submission is offline. It should be submitted to the Director of DDE at S V University. It can be submitted in-person or through registered post.
