Hostel

• SRM University hostel features 14 hostel blocks for boys and seven hostel blocks for girls. 
• Every hostel features high-speed Wi-Fi internet access, solar-powered water heating systems, mineral water supplies, floor-to-ceiling water coolers, and generator power sources. 
• In the co-located dining halls, students have the option of enjoying North Indian or South Indian cuisine at heavily discounted prices, along with a variety of healthy and delectable food options. 
• For the benefit of international students, the SRM University hostel facility offers a multi-cuisine dining area with Thai, Chinese, and continental cuisine. 
• The SRM University hostel also has rooms equipped with a common mirror, a cupboard, a study table and chair, and a single cot. 
• There are two hostel blocks for international students with a capacity of about 400 students. The entire hostel building is air-conditioned.

Library

• For the benefit of researchers, faculty, and students, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University) boasts an outstanding library. 
• The SRM University library is regarded as one of the most prestigious libraries globally dating back almost thirty years.
• It boasts an extensive collection of text and reference books encompassing multiple disciplines within Engineering and Technology, Medical & Health Sciences, Science & Humanities, and related fields. 
• With RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, centralized air conditioning, CCTV security systems, and fire alarms, the SRM University library is fully automated.
• The SRM University library houses 1,46,983 print volumes, 211 periodicals, 1,63,709 e-books, 34,138 e-journals, 3636 back volumes, 614 proceedings, 862 theses and dissertations, 12,084 UG & PG projects, and 10,755 archives. The library has stocked 140518 volumes of books consisting of 61289 titles, 1550 handbooks, and 200 encyclopedias.
• SRM University Chennai also has book collections of Tamil literature dating back to 1900 in addition to these resources. 
• A cumulative database of nearly 2.52 lakh records covering the period from 1990-1999 is available. The library also has non-print resources like DVDs, CD-ROMs, floppy disks, bibliographic databases, and videos.
• SRM University facility includes in-house photocopy facilities.
• To enable resource sharing, the library of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University) has joined several library networks like DELNET, MALIBNET, BCL, AIRC, SERC, IEI, etc.

Canteen

• SRM University canteen has a restaurant-style building where students and faculty members can eat food. 
• Both professors and students are drawn in by the canteen's enticing aroma of delicious food. 
• They serve dosa, poori, idly, samosa, puff, and vada in the morning.
• They provide full meals, biryani, chapattis, paratha, and a variety of rice for lunch. Chocolates, cold drinks, and ice cream are always available for purchase by students. 
• Tea, coffee, and snacks are served all day during business hours.

Fitness Centre

• SRM University infrastructure features gyms and fitness centres with the latest exercise equipment, exercise bikes, and treadmills to help students stay healthy.
• There is also bodybuilding equipment in the SRM men's central gym.

Transport Facility
