Eligibility Criteria for B.Com:

  • No applicant shall be eligible for admission to the 1st Degree course through non- formal /distance education unless he/she has successfully completed 12 years of Schooling through an examination conducted by a Board/University or through National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). 

  • Mandatory eligibility for the program is a pass at the +2 level ( Karnataka PUC, ISC, CBSE, NIOS, state boards) in any stream of Commerce & Science from any recognized boards from India or abroad for St Josephs College of Commerce Autonomous, Bangalore Admissions 2018.

Admission Procedure:

  •  Soon after the announcement of results of the respective boards, marks should be entered and submitted online.

    • Deadlines: The deadline for the mentioned courses are of 2 days from the date of declaration of respective board results (CBSE /ICSE / IIPUC& other Board) results.

Placements & Internships : 1)Internships are a compulsory part of the Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses at St. Joseph’s College of Commerce as it is believed that internships facilitate the integration of theoretical learning with its application and practice in the workplace. 2) SJCC, Our college has the best placement cell as we have the best and top companies coming to our college for recruitment. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and many more companies. 3)The average packages are 5 LPA to 6 LPA. The highest compensation offered this year has been Rs. 10,00,000 approximately by Lowe’s India. 4) The Alumni Association of the College was established as the ‘Old Students Association’ (OSA). It was assigned the role of facilitating communication between the present students.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : St Joseph's College of Commerce is one of the best and top autonomous colleges in Bengaluru. To pursue education in this college the eligibility criteria is he/she should have studied 10+2 years of education in ICSE/CBSE/State Board syllabus. There will be mandatory entrance exam paper for 50 marks consisting of 50 multiple choice questions. But, when I was getting admission it was a COVID time and we didn't have any entrance exam for admissions. The college generally takes the entrance exam outcome, but during COVID time the cutoff percentage was 91% and above.

Fees & Scholarships : 1)The annual fees paid for the year for our batch was Rs.70,000 but may vary some 2-5k now. 2) There are scholarships for B.Com/BBA/M.Com students who are economically weak, especially from the rural areas. Such students are eligible to apply provided he/she furnishes enough evidence for his/her eligibility, enclosing a community/income certificate. A good academic record (passed in all subjects with 60% and above, attendance 75% and above) is also required. 3)50% of the students get the scholarship every year. 4)No I guess, studying in our college doesn't require any loans because they provide scholarships and all kind of intiatives to almost reduce the cost of fee for the students who require.

Academics & Faculty : 1)There are 2 shifts for the undergraduate courses where shift 1 starts at 7am-11am for the students who are pursuing professional courses like CA, CS, etc. Second shift starts at 12pm-4pm. 2)St Joseph’s College of Commerce prides itself on having highly proficient teaching faculty who strive relentlessly towards upholding the values and beliefs of the institution. 3) Studying in St Joseph's College is a phase where every student is lucky to study in this college. There's fun, education and opportunities for everything sorted accordingly. Every day is a new different way of excitement here, I'm really glad I got into this college.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Don't know much about hostels and accommodation. The classrooms are spacious and led lights, fans, and benches and there's led display and a board to write are provided in each class. Libraries provide all the information related to all the fields of information. Canteen is located inside college where you get all kinds of food like rice, wraps, rolls, roti curry, soft drinks, juices and many more. The infrastructure of the college is so bright. We have basket ball court, backside ground and department blocks proportionately. It's colorful and beautiful.

Clubs & Associations : There are many associations in our college in academics, women empowerment, entrepreneur cell, Rotaract, nss and many more. Students can get any association they're passionate about. St Joseph's college of commerce stays at the top in conducting fests. All kind of fests are done and there will be departmental fests. Main fest is dhwani, kalostav, spiel for sports and more. Our college fashion team stays in number one place. College life is beautiful here as we get all kinds of entertainment with education in this college. We get enormous opportunities regarding every thing in college. You get to feel each and everything in all fields. College life is said to be the golden life, where this college fulfills that quote!

Placements & Internships : I am doing my internship now in Getmyuni and the base pay is Rs.7000 Some of the key companies that come for recruitment are Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, EY etc The positions for which they hire differ from company to company. The pay scale can start from Rs.50,000 and go up till Rs. 2,00,000 depending on the company and the position to which they are hired. The alumni are very active in college and every year the alumni association conducts the Alumni Gala, which is a very nice opportunity for everyone to meet up.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility to apply to St.Josephs College of Commerce is the completion of 12th standard or pu college. The first step is to apply for the respective course by submitting the 10th and 12th or puc marks card. If the student has scored more than the cutoff, the college will contact the student for the entrance test or interview depending upon the course. There is no entrance test for B.com applicants. They will be called directly for the interview. For B.com, if the student is applying through Christian quota then 83% otherwise its 90% and above.

Fees & Scholarships : St Josephs College of Commerce Autonomous, Bangalore Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 64,000. The fee can be less than Rs. 64,000 according to the additional language that students take. The scholarships available to the students are minority scholarship, sports scholarship, academic scholarship and cultural scholarship. The average number will be 30 students for each scholarship.

Academics & Faculty : There are 2 batch- the morning batch and the evening batch. Classes for the morning batch starts from 6 a.m and ends by 11.00 a.m. Classes for evening batch starts at 11.00 a.m and ends by 4.00 p.m. Assignments and works are given through out the academic year. There are 2 exams in a year namely the mid-semester exam and the end semester exam. Most of the teachers have a doctorate and teaches very well. The teachers use powerpoint presentations and other interactive methods of teaching. The overall experience of studying in St. Josephs College of Commerce excellent.  

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There is no hostel facility for the college. A wide range of PGs and hostels are available right next to the college. The starting range is usually Rs.5,000. There is a canteen facility in college and the quantity, as well as the quality of the food, is good. The food is also set at affordable prices. The average price is  Rs.30. Each classroom has projectors set. the library is well equipped. There is a wifi facility made available to the students. The college has a football ground and a basketball court. Parking facility is provided for staff and students. the college is under CCTV surveillance.   

Clubs & Associations : The different student associations are E- Cell, harmony club, eco club, alma, WDA, Indian dance association. The main fest conducted is DHWANI, which is the inter-college cultural fest. There is SPIEL, the inter-college sports fest and CHANAKYA, the inter-college business fest. There is inter class cultural fest ie, KALOTSAV and inter-class business fest called CIPHER and inter-class sports competitions. Life in college is very good. Academics and extracurricular activities are well balanced.

Placements & Internships : I am supposed to do an internship outside the college for about 4 to 6 weeks it can be paid or unpaid. There are companies like GS and EY who recruit students from colleges after an interview process. those companies pay you really well an approx of 20000 to 30000 for an intern who is working with them. There are many more companies who come for placement during your final year. You are given a chance to choose your requirements such as marketing, sales and various other fields all those are up to you. They give you a package for around 4 lakhs.Almost around 30-40% of students get through the placements there is a placement cell in college which helps the students to get an update about the upcoming placements 

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I didn't have any kind of enterence exam to get through this college i had to submit my marks card and all my details . The admission process was easy and not that hard for me . They guided me in geting through all the process during the admission . The cutoff for getting in the college was 90%. 

Fees & Scholarships : St Josephs College of Commerce Autonomous, Bangalore Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 10 lakhs 60000 to 70000. There is a scholarship from the government and there is even scholarship from the college. The college provides a scholarship of around 20000 to each student for almost around 120 students this is an academic scholarship 

Academics & Faculty : There are 4 hours of college a day and they provide a good teaching facility. There are projects or CIA every sem this carry almost around 10 marks. They provide a really good method of teach and there are very good lectures which help the students to do really well in academics. The college has been a wonderful experience it will educate us in all the possible ways

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : This college does not provide the students with any kind of hostel facilities. There are many pgs outside college and they cost around 8000 a month without food. there is only one canteen in the entire college the college is small compared to other colleges and the food in the canteen is not costly it is affordable for the students. The libraries in the college is also not that great. They provide you with wifi facilities too. the quality of class rooms are pretty good  

Clubs & Associations : There are more than 60 clubs in the colleges it is a wonderful platform for the students to showcase their talent, they provide you with all the facilities. There are many fests conducted in college it is really hard to name all of them but one of the major intercollege cultural fests is dhwani and the sports fest is spel and the business fest is Chanakya. The management gives you a wonderful platform to grow. life in college is a wonderful experience altogether only if we are involved in all those clubs

Placements & Internships : Almost all the major companies come for placements and for internships such as Goldman Sachs, Deloitte etc. There are also a lot of startups that have originated from college students and alumni. 

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The college has a fairly simple application process. Students can apply for BCom through regular application and will be given admission on the basis of eligibility criteria and can apply for BBA through entrance exams. The eligibility criteria is 85% in PUC/ 12th grade. 

Fees & Scholarships : St Josephs College of Commerce Autonomous, Bangalore Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 60000-80000. The college also offers scholarships for sports. 

Academics & Faculty : There are two shifts for the college. Morning shift is from 6 am to 11 pm, and the evening shift is from 11 pm to 4 pm. The college has a very learning based method of teaching which focuses on the practical application of subjects. The staff are very well qualified as well. 

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There is no hostel facilities available in college as most of the students are locals. However there a lot of hostels around the college, but most of them are reserved for Catholic students. These cost anywhere from 6,000- 15,000 INR a month depending upon the type of room, food, electricity etc. The food in college is very reasonable and of a good standard. The college has two auditoriums, wifi throughout the campus, a basketball court, a football ground, cricket nets. 

Clubs & Associations : There are a lot of activities that a student can take part in college. There is a rotaract club, western music club, dance association etc. Throughout the year there are various events that take place from MUNs to sports festivals. The college is very well known for its sports teams especially the basketball, football and cricket team. They are one of the best in Bangalore. The main sports fest is Spiel, an inter-college tournament. There are other cultural and business fests that take place throughout the year.

Placements & Internships : After the end of 4th semester, students are asked to complete a 2 months internship and submit a report. Many well known and MNC companies approach every year for placement. Companies like EY, KPMG, etc also visit the campus for placement. The average package for the year will be around INR 2 to INR 3 lakh per annum. Around 80% of the students get placed every year.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The cutoff for the course is 85%+ and students will be selected through a test followed by a personal interview.  

Fees & Scholarships : The course fee per year is INR 49,000. There are various scholarships are available based on their academic. Around 20% of students get this benefit.

Academics & Faculty : There are morning and evening batches. Students will have the option to choose. The class timings are good. There will be 4 to 5 hrs of classes per day and 3 classes on Saturdays. The faculty is pretty good and they use different methods of teaching so that students can understand. there will be various assignments and tests to check knowledge of students.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : The college doesn't have any hostel facility. There are many PGs around the college with all the facilities. The college has a canteen and they provide quality food at cheap rates. 

Clubs & Associations : The college gives more important to co-curricular activities. It has various societies and committees formed by students. The college is also a home for fests. The college conducts a variety of fests throughout the year. Fests like Dhwani, Kalotsav, SPIEL etc attract colleges around the city.
