Entrance Exams & Admissions :
You have to qualify NEET exam in order to get admission here. This NEET exam is a mandatory criterion in every dental college now.but its very easy to get into this college. Just give the NEET exam and apply.
Placements & Internships :
Now it'll be very honest here. This college has postgraduate students too. 1.the old(patients per day)is really less. They might show that the number of patients per day are around 200-300 or maybe more. But honestly speaking that's a lie. 2.most of the patients go to undergraduates(3rd and 4th year students) or postgraduates. Therefore the number of patients treated by interns is very very low in one complete year. Most interns therefore work outside in private clinics too during their internship. The stipend is a meagre 850/month with cuts according to the number of leaves you take. Yes, that's right! No on-campus placements. You really have to struggle to get a job after undergraduate and for that, you'll be paid peanuts. Average salary paid to a BDS graduate in a private clinic would be somewhere between INR 10000 to 15000 in metro cities. (peanuts) This is because the skill set post-BDS from this college isn't going to be enough to get anything more than that amount.
Academics & Faculty :
Class timings-8.30-3pm Tedious curriculum Method of teaching is average, not very advanced. Some teachers are really good and some are hopeless. No value for money My overall experience(and I think I am talking on behalf of my classmates as well) was horrible. I don't think I'm skilled or confident enough in the real world of dentistry now. If possible, go to other colleges.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are horrible! Food is sometimes fine and sometimes not edible at all.we had found the mess and kitchen area very unhygienic with rats scuttling across the floor in the kitchen. Students keep finding insects in the food all the time. You learn to make peace with it. Food will be prepared well only on days of parents orientations and inspection days. Classrooms have split ac but it only works on the 3rd floor i.e for 1st year students. Rest of the students suffocate and gasp in summers in the classrooms without ac and the worst part is that the authority is ignorant of repeated complaints by students in this college. No on-campus wifi. Labs are well equipped as its a post-graduate college but some departments have non-functioning dental chairs even during exams. Libraries can be used only after college hours till 5-6 pm. Canteen is average.
Clubs & Associations :
No clubs, society or student union. Only one sports meet lasting for 4-5 days in a year. Campus life is very boring otherwise.
