Workshop Practice Lab, Mechanics of Solids Lab Thermal Engg. Lab, Metrology Lab, FM & HMS Lab, Production Technology Lab, Metrology & M/C Tools Lab, Heat Transfer Lab, CAD/CAM Lab and Fuel & Lubricant Lab etc.

Electronics and Communication labs are equipped with -Logic Design Lab, Analogy Lab, Microcontroller Lab, HDL Lab, Communication+ LIC Lab, DSP & CCN Lab, Advanced Communication Lab, Advanced Microprocessor Lab, Power Electronics Lab .

Civil Engineering labs are having facility like- Structural Engineering Laboratory, Strength of Materials Laboratory, Concrete Laboratory, Structural Dynamics Laboratory, Fluid Mechanics/Hydraulics Laboratory, Hydro-Meteorological Observatory / Laboratory Geotechnical Laboratory, CADD Laboratory, Surveying Laboratory, Geology Laboratory.

Computer Sciences engineering and Information Technology  labs are equipped with -Graphics & Multimedia Lab, System Administration Lab  DBMS Lab ,Internet Lab ,Web Technology Lab ,Sun La, IBM Centre of Excellence Lab-1,Networking Lab, Projecting & HW Training Lab, M. Tech. Lab.

Along with  the  multi-faceted  campus,  a  large  number  of  IBM,  Sun,  Apple  and  HP Computer Systems and strong network with LAN facilities provides a different dimension to the computer center. The computer centre is equipped with more than 400 thin client Desktop Machines.

Technical  education  is  incomplete  without  an  adequate practical  training  in  the workshops having proper   demonstration facility matching with the shop floors existing in the Industry  . SVIET has created the world class infrastructure and have well equipped workshops  with  the  most  sophisticated  training machineries  required for meeting the standards of latest research and industrial requirements.

Sports/Gym

Sport at SVIET teaches students about sportsmanship, teamwork and courage.  Students learn to be gracious winners and good losers. Sport plays an important part in the life of most SVIETians students, with a 90 per cent participation rate. Outdoor Sports facilities like Football, Basketball, Lawn tennis ,Athletics are available at SVIET campus itself  under the supervision of full time sports coaches . Indoor recreational games like table tennis, snooker, carom, chess tables are available in the common rooms .To keep students in good health a fully loaded gym with latest cardio machines and cross training equipments is established in the campus.

Auditorium

SVGOI has a well-equipped Air-Conditioned Seminar Hall in the college building that can accommodate over 200 people for organizing  conferences, seminars and guest lectures and another spacious Indoor Auditorium that can house over 1000 people, where all co-curricular activities are organized. The auditorium is well furnished and equipped with modern projector, public address system and other audio-visual aids.

Library

SVGOI possesses very well equipped libraries for catering to the needs of students, research scholars and faculty in their respective streams. All libraries together has a stock of more than 30000 text and reference books, journals and magazines, information aids including news papers, market reports and many other necessary outputs. The library functions on an open access system for the faculty, staff and students. Along with the main centralized library there are individual libraries as well in different departments to provide books to the students in the department itself.

Medical Facility

Medical facilities are available in our campus.

Round the clock, medical facilities are provided to students and staff to attend to unforeseen medical emergencies. Salient features in this regard are:

• Tie up and MOU with surrounding hospitals, Gian Sagar Hospital, Banur for concessional consultancy, tests and treatment.

• Routine medical checks ups of students and staff

• Free health camps in surrounding villages.

• For emergency cases, 24X7 availability of college transport to carry the patients for treatment at surrounding hospitals.

• The college has its own dispensary where the medical facilities exist for the students and staff members.

• A duly-qualified staff and proper stock of medicines have been ensured by the college authorities. In addition to the day-to-day attendance to ailments, special attention is paid to the health of the students.

•  All the students are medically examined at least once a year by the College Medical Officer.

• First-Aid and sick room is set up in the academic building.

• The institution would keep its own vehicle available to attend to the health problems of students.

• The management would provide periodical medical check-ups with a team of doctors for the benefit of the students.

Cafeteria

The college campus excels in multi-cuisine menu providing a comfortable and vibrant ambience for all. In addition, canteens and kiosks providing meals, refreshments, fruits, juices and snacks etc. at the very reasonable rates for the students and staff members. The mess has an arrangement of seating of 500 students at a time and provides nutritious and whole some food to the students. There is a separate mess for the residential students.

The main canteens serve various types of food, snacks and drinks. ‘Brewkaff’ and ‘cafe Coffee Day express’ provide hot & cold coffee, tea, ice-cream etc. the rates of various items are fixed in consultation with the institute. Their Cleanliness and other hygienic conditions are checked by the institute team from time to time. The spacious, comfortable and hospitable ambience of these eating joints motivates the students to hold academic discussions and informal get together in them.

Banking

For the benefit of students and staff members, SVIET has tied up with Union Bank of India and Punjab National Bank for operating zero balance accounts and debit/credit card for students for facilitating hassle free banking operations .These banks have set up ATMs in the campus for facilitating easy access cash transactions . . On the spot Education Loan facility from UBI is also available.

Trasnport

Although well connected through Public Transport, the institution provides its own buses for the convenience of students and staff at a very nominal fee. The institute maintains a fleet of buses from all major cities i.e. are Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula,Ambala, patiala,Rajpura, Gobindgarh, Zirakpur, Pinjore, Nabha, Bhawanigarh, Devigarh, Samana, Patran,Sirhind, Khanna, Dhuri, Malerkotla, Sangrur and Sunam.In addition car  facility has been provided to the senior Faculty.
