English and Foreign Languages University [EFLU], Hyderabad was founded in 1958 as the Central Institute of English [CIE]. Presently, The University has 7 schools and 26 Departments. Apart from Undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes, the University offers postgraduate diploma courses and degrees [Distance Mode]. EFLU accepts CUET UG scores for UG admission and CUET PG scores for PG admissions.

The campus has 7 Schools, 26 Departments, and 11 foreign languages apart from other humanities courses. The university offers 10 undergraduate programmes, 18 postgraduate programmes and 20 Diploma programmes annually. All the Schools offer research programmes. The academic programmes service over 4500 candidates.  EFLU Admissions are based on past academic merit and scores in qualifying examinations.

EFLU Hyderabad Admission

EFLU admissions are based on past academic merit and scores in qualifying examinations. EFLU Hyderabad offers BA, MA, B.Ed, PGDTA, Ph.D. and several other courses in various specializations. The candidate should have passed the exam by the time of admission and scored the minimum eligibility percentage. The admit cards for admission to UG programmes have been released on the official website. EFLU University accepts CUET scores for both UG and PG courses. 

EFLU Hyderabad Eligibility Criteria

EFLU Hyderabad has different eligibility criteria for different courses. Candidates willing to pursue any course should qualify for the eligibility criteria set by the university for admissions.

BA [Hons.] Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have Passed in 10+2 examination or its equivalent with 50% marks for general/ OBC and 45% for SC/ST students, with English as one of the subjects.

MA Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have completed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 55% marks for general/ OBC, 50% marks for SC/ST students
• In case it is Hons. degree, only Hons. mark will be considered.

MA [Language and Literature] Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have completed a Bachelor's degree in Arabic or in any discipline with a certificate of B1 level proficiency
  equivalent to Advanced Diploma in any language.

B.Ed [English] Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have completed BA or MA in English with a minimum of 50% marks for general/ OBC and 45% for SC/ ST students

PGDTA/ PGDTE [English] Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have completed MA in English/ English Literature/ Linguistics/ TESL/ ELT with 55% marks in general/ OBC, [50% marks for SC/ ST students]

PhD [English Language Education] Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have completed MA TESL/M.A. ELT/M.A. English with at least one course in the area of ELT with 55% marks in general/ OBC, [50% marks for SC/ ST students]
• At the completion of 1st Semester of PGDTE, the candidate should have a Grade Point Average [GPA] of 3.00 with no 'E' grade or PGCTE [CIEFL/ EFL University] with a minimum GPA of 3.00 with no 'E' grade
• The candidate shall have completed M.Phil in English Language Education

PhD [Linguistics & Phonetics] Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have completed M.A. in any discipline with 55% marks in general/ OBC, [50% marks for SC/ ST students]
• The candidates must have completed MA or M.Phil with a minimum GPA of
  3.50 or with 55% marks for general/ OBC with 50% marks for SC/ST students or PGCTE/ DTE [with sufficient background in
  Linguistics and Phonetics] with a minimum GPA of 3.00

PhD Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have completed M.A. in any discipline with 55% marks in general/ OBC, [50% marks for SC/ ST students]
