Tripura University is located in Agartala, Tripura. Established under Tripura University Act in 1987, the University has a total of 52 affiliated colleges. The University runs various courses under the ambit of Science, Arts, and Commerce faculties. Tripura University admission currently enjoys the status of a Central University from July 2007. Tripura University has a lot of colleges that strictly follow the norms and standards of Tripura University admission. After the implementation of Tripura University, many independent colleges in the state started to work under Tripura University and implemented new courses under its supervision of Tripura University.

Currently, Tripura University admission offers courses in the colleges affiliated with Tripura University, and it includes 52 colleges which 27 general degree colleges, 19 Professional degree colleges, 2 technical colleges, and 4 polytechnic institutes. A total of 42 courses are run by the University, which includes certificate courses, and undergraduate & postgraduate diplomas. In addition to these, Ph.D. programs are also offered in 33 subjects. Tripura University Admission process in these courses is done through the exam conducted by the Tripura University admission, popularly known as TUET (Tripura University Entrance Test), and also CUET is one of the main criteria. Tripura University Diploma Admission 2024

The Tripura University admission offers a 3-year diploma in various branches for students pursuing a diploma directly after 10th standard.

Diploma Eligibility Criteria

• The eligibility for diploma courses varies from 10th to 12th standard. Some diploma courses are specifically for only for international students.
• The candidate should have completed SSC from any recognized board.
  Admission is as per Admission Committee for Professional Diploma Courses (ACPDC).

Tripura University admission offers Management, Engineering, Science, Pharmacy, Medical, Paramedical, Computer Applications, Commerce, Law, Architecture, Dental, Agriculture, etc. The University offers various UG courses such as B.Tech, B.Sc (Hons), B.Com, etc. Some of the courses and specializations are as follows. 

UG Eligibility Criteria

• For taking Admission in B.Voc course, students passing 10 + 2 system of examination from recognized State Board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects with a minimum of 45% in aggregate for candidates belonging to General Category and with a minimum of 40% in aggregate for candidates belonging to Reserved Categories shall be eligible for Admission to B.Sc are eligible to apply.
• For taking Admission in the B.Ed course students who have cleared the 12th graduation examination with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university are eligible to pursue this course. Both Biology and Mathematics group students are eligible to pursue it.
• For taking Admission in the BA and BBA course, the interested candidate should score decent marks in their 10+2 examination from a recognized university or board.

• For applying for an M.Sc course, the candidate shall have passed the Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in the Science stream
• A candidate to be eligible for Admission to M.Com (Hons) should have completed Graduation in Commerce from any recognized University
• The candidate should have completed Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks for the general category and 40% for reserved categories in order to get admission for MBA and MA course

Tripura University Application Process 2024

Registration is done both online and offline for Tripura University admissions 2024. For online registration, visit the official website of Tripura University.  Students can apply under any of the three categories, such as regular, international, or courses offered by the Directorate of Distance Education (DDE). A candidate may apply for a maximum of three courses. For each course, students have to apply separately. The candidates can go to the university's official website or refer to the prospectus for Tripura University Fee Structure. The application format and necessary instructions shall be available on the Tripura University website. Applicants shall have to apply online by registering themselves for TUET.

• Step 6: The application will be reimbursed for those specially-abled students with a disability percentage of 40 or more after securing Admission to Tripura University.
