Placements & Internships : Internship: I got the golden opportunity of getting my internship at Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Pvt. Ltd. Kolkata (GRSE, Kolkata). It comes under the defence ministry of India. It was not a paid internship and all the expenses had to be bear by the candidates only. Companies like IBM, Zenus Group, EDOOFA have visited our college campus for placements. And their average salary package lies in the range of INR 3-5 lakhs per annum.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for University of Technology and Management, Shillong (UTM, Shillong), the candidates must procure a minimum of 60% in their 12th board and 51% combined of Physics and Mathematics. Cutoffs: Talking about cutoffs in B.tech courses, if you can obtain a minimum of 60% in state board examination and 50% in (Physics+Mathematics).

Fees & Scholarships : The fees were between INR 80000 - 1 lakh per semester at University of Technology and Management. Although there were scholarship opportunities available for meritorious students based upon their performance. You can easily available loans if required. They can be easily availed through SBI, PNB, etc.

Academics & Faculty : The class Timing is from 9 am to 5 pm. You get a regular assignment and there is two-semester exam per semester. And between these exams, you will get assignment and internals. It was a pleasure studying at UTM, Shillong. All the faculties and students are marvellous. Overall it was a knowledgeful and practical experience.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are many hostels and PGs available near the college campus. However, the college doesn't provide any accommodation services. Food in the hostels are quite good and they provide nutritional diet too. Quality of classroom and labs are quite spacious and comfortable to students. 

Clubs & Associations : There are many societies formed and managed by the students like Ecological Society, IT and Technical Society, Gamerz Society, and so on. The college also organises many cultural fests for fresher students to get involved with the Society and its culture. In general, it was a quite adventurous, joyful and adventurous life studying at UTM Shillong.
