The Uttarakhand Open University is an open state university of Uttarakhand and is situated in Haldani. The university was established in 2005 by the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly and is recognised by the Association of Indian Universities and Distance Education Bureau of UGC.

The university has established schools in different universities and offers more than 80 courses of degrees, certificates and diplomas. There are two sessions of admissions for these courses- Summer and Winter. The admission process for the university courses includes entrance exams for a few courses. Rest are done based on the merit of qualifying exams.

The university conducts entrance exams for B.Ed and MBA admissions, but however, applicants with valid scores of CAt and MAT can apply for admission through these scores.

Uttarakhand Open University Courses & Fees

Uttarakhand Open University Admission

Uttarakhand Open University admissions are based on entrance exams and merit for a few courses. Porgrams like B.Ed and MBA requires valid scores of UOU entrance exam or CAT/MAT. For the rest of the courses, admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis for the applicants who fulfil the eligibility criteria.

The admission process is done twice a year- Summer and WInter admission sessions. The admission process includes filling out the application form online or offline. The online application forms are available on the official website, and the offline application forms are available at the admission office on the university campus.
