Uttaranchal College of Science and Technology also known as UCST was established in 2001 by the Uttaranchal Progressive Educational Society. The institute is self-financed and the balance they maintain between theory and practical, helps students prosper not only in academics but also in professional life. The dynamic academic and research program provided by the institute has around 45 lecturers and scientists involved.

The UCST courses offered are various undergraduate and postgraduate. It is affiliated by HNB Garhwal University Srinagar (Garhwal), Central University & SDSUV Uttarakhand, and approved by Uttaranchal Government. UCST offers visitors programs where professors and scientists from all over India visits to lecture at the campus. UCST Scholarships and Loans:

UCST offers scholarships and loans to the students who would like to enroll themselves. Scholarships are totally based on merit. Two Mukesh Sawhney Memorial Scholarships are awarded to postgraduate students after the successful completion of their course. Each student is offered INR 5000 per month. Educational loans are available on campus for students who belong to the economically weaker section of the society. Banks like SBI, PNB, OCB, CBI, The South Indian Bank and some other offers loans to the students. Loans and scholarships are offered only after a personal counseling round.
