Hostel

• The college offers separate accommodation facilities for girls and boys. The hostels also provided facilities for playing badminton and indoor games like carrom, chess, ludo, etc.
• The boys hostel also has facilities of playing volleyball and cricket.
• The university has a students amenity centre for boys and girls situated near the hostel where the residential students can avail the facility of gymnasium equipped with many exercise equipment.
• It has a yoga centre facility with a trainer for residential students.
• TV with digital connection and telephone are provided in the common rooms of the Vidyasagar University hostels.
• The hostels are supplied with several daily newspapers and journals.
• The students are provided with computers with an internet facility from a common server of the university.

Guest House: The Vidyasagar University has one guest house adjacent to the distance education building. The guest house is primarily meant for official university guests or participants of various seminars, workshops, symposia and conferences organised by the university. It provides beddings (bedsheet, pillow, sheet, pillow cover, blanket, mattress etc.). An inventory of articles for use in the rooms is available in each room. The guests are requested to check these items when occupying the room.

Computer Centre: Vidyasagar university is a smart campus. It provides internet services with 1 Gbps connectivity, and the LAN with more than 1200 nodes is operated and maintained by the computer centre. The computer centre has been taking care of all the requirements of campus such as:

Medical Facilities: The Vidyasagar University infrastructure has a medical unit for common ailments. It offers various services, including a first-aid facility, E.C.G facility, blood glucose measuring facility, provision for oxygen and facility of a pulse oximeter. An ambulance is also available for referring serious patients to Midnapore Medical College and other centres.

Telephone Exchange: The university is in collaboration with BSNL (Signed MoU) and has set up the modern, next-generation telephone exchange inside the campus to raise the communication infrastructure to the highest level. It is extending 300 telephone lines initially, which may reach 1000 lines very soon under the CENTREX system to all the locations including all the faculty members, residential complexes with direct dial-in telephone facility to all the phone and 4 digit group calling.

Animal House: The Vidyasagar University facilities include an animal house with the surgical room, rat room, mice room, washing room, sterilising room having autoclave, Co2 gas cylinder, changing or dressing room, office, quarantine room, surgical room. It is well equipped with a euthanasia chamber and other facilities for animal sacrifice, a storeroom for keeping animal feed extra cages and one lavatory. Air conditions and curtains are also available to maintain the temperature and freshness of the atmosphere in the house.
