Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College is an initiated educational background, aimed to provide quality education to aspiring technocrats in various fields of Engineering & Technology. In 1987 with 3 branches approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Initially affiliated to the University of Madras, Periyar University, and later on to Anna University. Our Institute came under the ambit of Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation (Deemed to be University) in 2004. The Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation is accredited by NAAC with a B grade.

VMKVEC Admission 2024

At present, the institution offers 9 UG Programmes and 5 PG programs along with an MBA under various specializations offering higher education to over 1500 students, pursuing higher education in Engineering, Technology & Management. Experienced and Dedicated faculty. This institution was accredited by the National Board of Accreditation - All India Council for Technical Education (NBA - AICTE), New Delhi from 2009 to 2012. Students are provided with a common room for each and every department. Canteen with hygienic delicious food, good sanitation, and drinking water are available in the College. There is a well-equipped indoor auditorium for conducting various cultural and extracurricular programs. Separate Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls. Transport facilities are available for all the routes in and around Salem City.

VMKVEC UG Admission 2024

The college currently offers UG B.E courses with various specializations. The specializations are Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology (B.Tech), Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering. There is also a B.E lateral entry where students can directly enter 2 nd year. The college offers both B.E full time and part-time courses.

VMKVEC UG Eligibility

The college offers 4 years full-time B.E course and 3.5 years part-time B.E course. Lateral entry students can enter directly in 2 nd year. Candidates should have passed 10+2 examinations with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category). For lateral students candidates should have passed the Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks. Subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted. 

VMKVEC PG Admission 2024

The college offers 2 PG courses currently M.E and MBA. The college offers both full time and part-time M.E courses. The specialization in M.E courses, Computer Science & Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Power System Engineering, VLSI Design. Specialization in MBA, HRM, Marketing, Systems, Finance, Operations Management, Environment Management, Hospital Administration, Airport & Airlines Management, International Business, Logistics Management, Banking, Insurance & Financial Market Services, Entrepreneurship, Knowledge Management, and Real Estate Management.

VMKVEC PG Eligibility

The college offers a 2 years full-time M.E program and a 3 years part-time M.E program. Candidates should have passed Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in the relevant field with at least 50% marks.  MBA is a full-time 2-year program. Candidates should have passed the Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years duration with 50% marks.

Admission for 2020 UG and PG courses is currently going on. Candidates may directly apply or come in person to the Admission Cell operating from the Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation Deemed to be University (or) Vinayaka Mission's Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College, Salem. Follow the steps for applying online.

• Go to the admission tab and click on the application form and download it.
• Fill the required details and attach the needed enclosures
• An attested photocopy of X pass / Matriculation / Secondary School Certificate issued by the Board of Examination
• An attested photocopy of Mark sheet of the qualifying examination
• Transfer Certificate from the institute last studied / Migration Certificate
• Conduct Certificate
• Community Certificate
• Fifteen Passport-size Photographs
• Any other documents required
• Fill the application form and send it to college.
• For Provisional Admission registration a minimum of Rs.5,000/- as registration fees can be transferred through NEFT / RTGS to the following Bank Account or send a Demand Draft in favor of VMKV Engineering College payable at Salem for Confirmation of Admission registration
