Visva Bharati University is a public university which is located in West Bengal. It was founded by Shri Rabindranath Tagore, a renowned Bengali poet, Social reformer, and freedom struggle. Visva Bharati University was established in 1921, it was declared a central university by an act of parliament in 1951. Visva Bharati University offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate courses in science, humanities, social work and fine arts. The admissions to UG courses are being made based on the CUET exam. The other accepted exams include NET-JRF/ICAR-AIEEEA/NEST/GATE scores. 

Visva Bharati University promotes the values of Shantiniketan. Visva Bharati University has various in-campus facilities including an auditorium, classrooms, well-equipped labs, a cafeteria, a guest house, and musuems.
