About CDAC C-CAT
CDAC C-CAT examination is conducted by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC). The exam serves as a prerequisite for admission to all Post Graduate Diploma courses offered at CDAC. It is the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology's (MeitY) major R&D organisation for IT, electronics, and related research.
CDAC was established in 1988. Since then, it has been developing multiple generations of supercomputers, beginning with PARAM with 1 GF in 1988. Today, it has emerged as the country's primary R&D institution in IT&E (Information Technologies and Electronics), aiming to build national technological capabilities in the context of global changes, among other things.

CDAC C-CAT Eligibility Criteria 2024
The eligibility criteria are divided into two parts. Candidates have common eligibility criteria and program-specific C-CAT eligibility criteria. Candidates who appeared for the CDAC C-CAT exam 2024 had to fulfil both criteria to write the exam.
Common Eligibility Criteria for CDAC C-CAT 2024
- A graduation degree in bachelor's of engineering or a degree in MS/ MSc in computer science, electronics, or IT.
- Candidates should have had Maths in 10+2 (candidates with Diploma + Engineering are exempted)

CDAC C-CAT Syllabus 2024
CDAC C-CAT exam is divided into three different sections and each section has a different syllabus. The CDAC C-CAT is designed to analyze and assess the intelligence of the candidates. The syllabus for all four sections is mentioned below:
- Section A: CDAC will evaluate the candidates on their English, quantitative aptitude and reasoning skills. This section is allotted 1 hour for completion.
- Section B: CDAC will evaluate the candidates' C programming, computer fundamentals, data structures, data communication & networking, object-oriented programming concepts and operating systems skills. This section is allotted 1 hour for completion.

CDAC C-CAT Rank Card 2024
Each applicant who took the exam will be assigned a rank based on his or her performance in sections A, A+B, and A+B+C. Candidates that qualify for more than one section will receive multiple rankings.
The 10% of candidates with the lowest rankings will be rejected. Furthermore, after removing the lowest 10% rankers, any candidate from any section who scores zero or lower will be rejected.
If a candidate appears for Category II/III but does not qualify in Section A, he or she will not be ranked in Category I/II/III, even if the candidate performed well in Sections B and C. However, if he/she qualifies in Section A but not Section B, he/she will not
CDAC C-CAT Counselling 2024
CDAC C-CAT counselling online selection of course and centre will be done in Aug 2024. Candidates need to go through three rounds of counselling after getting qualified for the CDAC C-CAT 2024 examination.
Seat allotment will be initiated twice soon after two rounds of counselling. After completing the first two rounds, the third round of counselling will be held, and the remaining seats will be allotted to candidates.
