DUET eligibility criteria 2024 will be set by NTA, the conducting body of the exam. Delhi University also sets specific DUET exam eligibility criteria that every aspirant must meet to appear in the examination. The university offers a wide range of courses pertaining to postgraduate courses in various fields and streams.

Applicants must ensure to meet the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form or else they will not be allowed to appear for the DUET 2024.

DUET Eligibility Criteria 2024 Highlights

DUET eligibility 2024 consists of nationality, age, and educational qualifications for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It must be noted that any application that is submitted is subject to disqualification if the candidate does not meet the eligibility criteria. Hence, they just go through the details given below.

  • All candidates must have completed their 10+2 grade level examination.
  • Candidates applying must have completed their higher secondary examination from recognized boards.
  • Applicants must have cleared all individual subjects. Out of India, candidates are eligible to apply on the same terms.
  • Compartment candidates are not eligible for application.

DUET 2024 Eligibility Nationality

Candidates must be Indian nationals. In addition, candidates must have cleared Grade 12 under any recognized board within India and abroad.

DUET 2024 Age Limit

There is no maximum age limit to apply for the UG and PG courses. However, candidates must reach the age of 18 or have completed their 10+2 grades to apply for the same. Candidates with gap year's can also apply for the DUET 2024.

DUET 2024 UG Course-Wise Eligibility

DUET 2024 UG program includes various courses and the eligibility requirement for all varies based on the requirements. Thus, applicants must check the course-wise detailed eligibility list for DUET UG 2024 programs shared below.

  • B.A (Hons) Economics: Applicants must have opted and passed mathematics in the qualifying exam and must have scored 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
  • B.A. Hons. (Humanities and Social Sciences): Candidate must have achieved 60% aggregate marks in their qualifying exam.
  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health Education and Sports: The student must have score 45%+ aggregate marks in their qualifying exam.
  • BA Hons Multimedia and Mass Communication: The applicant must have passed 12th with at least 75% marks in all the four subjects and 85% in english.
  • B.Tech: The candidate must have passed 12th with 60% aggregate marks in all the four subjects, mathematics as mandatory.

DUET PG Course-Wise 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The detailed DUET PG course-wise eligibility for 2024 are shared below for candidates reference. Applicants must ensure to meet the requirements shared to appear for the examination.

  • M.Sc. Electronics or M.Sc. Physics: Candidates must have minimum aggregate score of 60% or equivalent for unreserved category students, 54% for OBC candidates and 40% for SC/ ST candidates in the qualifying exam.
  • M.Sc. Resource Management and Design Application: Candidate must have scored 55% aggregate marks in Home Science.
  • M.Sc. Plant Molecular Biology & Biotechnology: The applicant must have secured 55% of aggregate marks in B.Sc in Plant Science.
  • M.Sc. Physics: The student must have secured a minimum aggregate score of 55% in B.Sc Physics (Hons.).
  • M.Sc. Microbiology: Those who secured an aggregate of 60% or more in the B.Sc (Hons.) are eligible for the course.
  • M.Sc Informatics: The candidate must have completed bachelors degree under 10+2+3 scheme in Physical Science with a minimum of 50%.
  • M.Com: The candidate must have completed B.Com with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • MA/M.Sc Statistics: Students interested for the course must have completed their graduation with at least 55% or equivalent marks.
  • M.A Social Work: Candidate must have completed graduation with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
  • M.A. Psychology: The applicant must have passed B.A. (Hons.)/B.A. (Pass)/B.A. in Psychology with a 55% mark.
  • M.A Political Science: Students must have passed B.A. (Hons.) /B.A. Program/B.A. Pass /B.A. Degree with 50% marks.
  • M.A History: Applicants must have passed BA with/ without History from DU or other recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • M.A Philosophy: The applicant must have passed bachelors from a recognized Indian University with 50% marks.
  • LLB: Candidates must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum aggregate score of 50% for General category students, 45% for OBC candidates. and 40% for SC/ ST candidates.
  • LLM: Candidates must have an degree in 3 or 5 year LLB with a minimum aggregate score of 50% for General category students, 45% for OBC candidates. and 40% for SC/ ST candidates.
  • Masters in Computer Applications (MCA): A graduate with 60% aggregate marks in their bachelor's with Mathematics as a mandatory subject is eligible for DUET 2024.
  • Masters in Education (M.Ed): A graduate with a 50% aggregate score from B.ED, BA.B.ED, BEI. ED or D.EI.ED courses are eligible for DUET 2024.

DUET 2024 Reservation Criteria

The board follows the government-ordained reservation criteria for various categories that candidates belong to, for the examination. Candidates are provided with relaxed minimum qualifying scores based on their categories as per the board rules. The following points are to be noted for the same.

  • The reservation for scheduled castes is 15%, and scheduled tribes are 7.5%.
  • There will be a relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks to applicants of this category. For example, if the minimum eligibility for admission to a course for the unreserved category applicants is 50%, the minimum eligibility for the OBC applicants will be 45%.
  • Further relaxation will be determined based on the availability of seats after the counselling rounds commence.
  • OBC and Non-creamy layer categories will recieve a reservation of 27%. These applicants will be given an extent of 10% relaxation in the minimum score.
  • Candidates of these categories will recieve the reservation only after producing certificates that support the same.
