GPAT Exam Day Guidelines for 2024 are a set of crucial regulations that every candidate must strictly follow to ensure a smooth examination process. It is imperative to arrive at the exam center punctually, carrying the required documents, including a valid ID card, the GATE 2024 admit card, and a recent passport-size photograph. GPAT 2024 Exam Day Instructions

On the GPAT 2024 examination day, candidates must adhere to a set of essential guidelines, covering aspects like permissible and prohibited items, mandatory documents, and stationery regulations.

It is crucial to note that due to COVID-19 considerations, the examination authorities may introduce additional rules related to social distancing and health measures. Therefore, candidates should be prepared to follow both general and specific instructions.

Here are the key general instructions:

  • Arrive at the examination center at least one and a half hours before the scheduled exam start time to avoid last-minute issues.
  • Plan your journey in advance, considering potential delays like traffic congestion or transportation disruptions.
  • Entry to the examination center is not permitted before 8:30 a.m.
  • Wearing a face mask is mandatory.
  • Electronic devices, multimedia gadgets, and notepads are strictly prohibited. Possession of such items will result in disqualification from the exam.
  • Only the GPAT 2024 admit card is allowed inside the examination hall; no other non-essential items or papers are permitted.
  • The exam invigilator will announce the time thrice: at the start of the examination, halfway through the allotted time, and upon completion of the exam.

Documents for GPAT 2024 Exam 

The GPAT 2024 examination demands strict adherence to specific document requirements for a smooth entry into the examination hall. These essential documents play a pivotal role in establishing identity and eligibility of candidates to appear for the exam.

Please note that failing to produce any of these documents may result in exclusion from the GPAT 2024 examination. Here are the details of the documents candidates need to carry on the exam day:

  • GPAT 2024 Admit Card
  • Passport-Size Photograph
  • A government-approved identity card such as Aadhar card, PAN card, Voter ID card, Ration Card, or Driving License is necessary for verification.
  • PwD Certificate (if applicable)

GPAT Shift Timing

Students must note that the exam for GPAT is scheduled for Jun 8, 2024. The exam will be conducted in two shifts. The details for the shift and timing have been shared in the table below.

Banned Items for GPAT 2024 Exam

In addition to the aforementioned guidelines, candidates are strictly prohibited from carrying unnecessary items. The following items are strictly prohibited in the examination hall:

  • Bags or any form of luggage.
  • Consuming food or beverages inside the examination hall.
  • Any electronic or Bluetooth devices, as well as any other gadgets.
  • Jewelry, rings, wristwatches, or similar items.
  • Pens, pencils, paper, stationery, or any related materials.

GPAT 2024 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates are urged to thoroughly review the provided instructions, often found on the admit card or official website. Neglecting these guidelines can lead to complications during the actual examination.

Therefore, it is essential to familiarize with the following instructions:

  • Arrive at the Examination Center at least two hours before the test to complete necessary formalities. The registration desk will close 60 minutes before the test commences.
  • Any form of unfair practices or impersonation by an applicant will result in the cancellation of their examination, confiscation of materials, and being held accountable for committing an offense or crime.
  • The GPAT 2024 admit card is a crucial document for test center entry. Candidates without a valid Admit Card will not be permitted to take the GPAT entrance exam.
  • Maintain complete silence while handling your question paper to avoid any disruption or misbehavior within the examination hall.
  • In case of difficulty accessing the Admit Card, candidates must contact gpat.nta2019@gmail.com. Please note that no Admit Card will be sent by post.
  • Candidates carrying prohibited items like Kara, Kirpan, or similar objects must arrive at their respective test centers at least one and a half hours before the gate closure.
  • Leaving your seat or the examination hall without explicit authorization from the Center Superintendent or the Invigilator is not permitted. Seats are allocated based on roll numbers, and any alterations may result in exam cancellation.
  • Candidates are required to remain seated in the examination room until they have submitted their rough sheets to the invigilator on duty.
  • NTA will not be responsible for retesting if candidates miss the scheduled entrance exam for any reason.
  • Skilled and trained Nodal officers and staff in the test hall will provide guidance and support to candidates, ensuring a comfortable Computer-Based Testing (CBT) experience.
