IBPS RRB PO prelims scorecard 2023 is released by the conducting authority IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) for candidates to pursue a career in banking by working at the Regional Rural Banks (RRB). There are currently 3800 vacancies for the post of IBPS RRB PO. The IBPS RRB PO exam is conducted annually where lakhs of candidates appear for the examination.

The recruitment process for the candidates is conducted in 3 steps- Preliminary exam, Main exam and a personal interview. The preliminary exam acts as a qualifier for the other stages of the selection process but the marks scored in this exam is not included in the final calculation of the marks.

The preliminary exam consists of 2 sections which are quantitative aptitude and reasoning. The total marks for the preliminary exam are 80.

  3. Login using the credentials that is registration number and password along with the security captcha.
  4. The candidate can now view and download the IBPS RRB PO prelims Scorecard. By viewing the scorecard, the candidate gets clarity on whether they cleared the cutoff percentile to write the main examination.

IBPS RRB PO Prelims Score Calculation

The IBPS PO marks calculation is done after deducting marks for the wrong answers. For each incorrect answer, ¼ marks are deducted. Later, the scores are normalized since the exam is conducted in different shifts which will bring an equalised score. The marks for the preliminary exam is normalised through the equi-percentile method. The final score is obtained by rounding off the numbers up to 2 digits after the decimal point.

The cutoff percentile is an important factor when deciding if the candidate has cleared the examination or not. It helps the candidate with a performance comparison among other candidates.
