IISER 2025 exam is expected to be conducted in June 2025. The official authorities are yet to release the notification. Tentatively, the IISER 2025 registration will begin in April-May 2025.

IISER 2025 notifications will release on the official website. Candidates planning to apply for IISER, are advised to stay updated with the important event dates associated with the exam. IISER Application Form 2025
IISER Application Form 2025 is expected to be available from Apr- May 2025. Students will need to register for the exam before the last date of registeration, and submit the application form. The form correction window will get active around May 2025.
Candidates can visit the official website to access IISER application form 2025. Candidates can apply for IISER through 3 channels, i.e., IAT, KVPY and JEE Advanced, of which only IAT is activated as of now.

Steps to Apply for IISER 2025
The initial application process is similar to all the channels and the later stages are different. The common initial application process is as follows.
- Step 1: Candidates must visit the official website of IISER. Go to the registration page.
- Step 2: Enter the basic details along with a valid mobile number and email ID.
- Step 3: Once registration is complete, an email and an SMS will be sent with login credentials like login ID and password.
- Step 4: Log in with the credentials and change the password if required.
- Step 5: Then enter the personal details and click on the 'Submit' button.
- Step 6: Enter the academic qualification details and submit them.
- Step 7: Upload the required documents, enter the captcha code and then click on 'I Agree after reading the declaration.
Steps to Apply for IISER 2025 Through IAT Channel
After completing the initial application details, candidates can follow these steps to apply through the SCB channel.
- Step 1: Besides the application details, click on the 'IAT Channel' option and click on the 'Click Here to Fill the Application' icon.
- Step 2: Enter personal details like application number, reference number, name, and date of birth.
- Step 3: Then fill in the city preferences for IISER Aptitude Test.
- Step 4: Now choose the preferred course in the particular IISER and fill them in from top priority to low priority. Now click on the 'Submit' button and it will be directed to the payment gateway.
- Step 5: Pay the application fee through RTGS/NEFT or net banking/debit card/credit card/UPI. Enter the mobile number, email ID, and payer name. After this, click on the 'Generate Challan' icon to generate challan.
- Step 6: With the payment of the application, the application process is completed.
Steps to Apply for IISER 2025 Through KVPY Channel
Students can refer to the following steps to apply for IISER through KVPY Channel.
- Step 1: Once the application details are entered, click on the 'KVPY Channel' tab and click on the 'Click Here to Fill the Application' icon.
- Step 2: Now enter the application number, reference number, name and date of birth.
- Step 3: After that, enter KVPY details like KVPY Qualifying Rank, KVPY Roll Number and KVPY Application Number.
- Step 4: Now give the college and course preferences and click on the 'Submit' button.
- Step 5: Application fee can be paid online through net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI/RTGS/NEFT. Enter the mobile number, email ID and payer name. After this click on the 'Generate Challan' icon to generate challan.
- Step 6: On successful transaction, the application process is completed.
Steps to Apply for IISER 2025 Through JEE Advanced Channel
Check the following steps to understand the application process for JEE Advanced Channel.
- Step 1: After entering the personal detail, click on the 'JEE Channel' option. There click on the 'Click Here to Fill the Application' icon.
- Step 2: Now enter personal details like the application number, reference number, name, and date of birth.
- Step 3: After that, enter the roll number, registration number, and qualifying rank.
- Step 4: Now, enter the course and IISER preferences. Click on the 'Submit' button.
- Step 5: The link will be redirected toward the payment gate where the IISER application fee can be paid online through RTGS/NEFT/net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI.
- Step 6: Enter the mobile number, email ID, and the name of the payer. After this click on the 'Generate Challan' icon to generate challan.
- Step 7: The application process will end upon successful payment of the fee.
IISER Eligibility Criteria 2025
Candidates need to go through the IISER Eligibility Criteria 2025 before moving forward with the application. KVPY, SBC, and JEE Advanced are the 3 channels and the shortlisting process is different for every exam based on the difficulty level.
Major eligibility criteria defined by the organizing authorities are mentioned below.
- IISER has not mentioned the upper age limit for admission through any of the channels.
- The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with prescribed cut-off marks and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology compulsory subjects from a recognized board or institution.
- The candidate should be an Indian National to apply for IISER. PIO & OCI candidates are also eligible to apply for IISER 2025 and are considered Indian citizens. Foreign students can also apply, but only through JEE Advanced channel.

IISER Exam Pattern 2025
The IISER Exam Pattern 2025 comprises 4 subjects; Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Each section has 15 Multiple Choice Questions and the time duration for all the sections is 180 minutes. Every correct response fetches (+3) marks. (-1) mark is deducted for an incorrect response. No marks are deducted for unattempted responses.

About IISER Exam
IISER was established in Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati by the government to promote the study of Basic Science in the country. IISER aspires to become an institute that supports and nurtures the idea of bringing sustainable scientific practices into the current societal lifestyle.
The government of India recognized this problem, hence through the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), under the National Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Bill, 2010 (an amendment of the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007), the Government created Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISERs).

IISER 2025 Admission Channels
There are 3 ways to get a seat in IISER. These 3 ways are officially known as the 3 channels to apply for IISERs. These channels are as follows.
- SCB (State and Central Boards) Channel - IISER 2025 Aptitude Test (IAT)
- KVPY Exam (Kishor Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana)
- JEE Advanced.
KVPY Channel (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana): Candidates with a valid KVPY fellowship for the current academic session i.e., 2025-25, can apply for IISER this year. Cut-off criteria are applicable.
JEE Advanced Channel: Candidates in the General category securing a rank within 10,000 in the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Advanced 2025 are eligible to apply. For candidates belonging to the reserved category (OBCNC, SC, ST, PD), their category rank should be within 10,000.
SCB Channel: To take admission under this channel, candidates must satisfy the cut-off of the qualifying exam before taking IISER Aptitude Test. The cut-off marks and the respective board in 2018 are listed below.

IISER Admit Card 2025
IISER Admit Card 2025 is expected to be released in Jun 2025.. Students can access their IISER hall ticket on the official website by IISER once released. Candidates must use the IISER 2025 login link to check and download the hall ticket/admit card. They must take at least 2 photocopies for future reference.
IISER 2025 admit card will contain the student's name, roll number, exam centre, complete address of the exam centre, and the date and time of the exam. It is mandatory to take a photo ID proof along with the admit card to the examination hall to appear in the IISER 2025 Aptitude Test.
If a candidate finds any mistakes or discrepancies in the downloaded IISER admit card 2025, then they should report the issue to the exam conducting body, IISER Berhampur, as soon as possible and get it rectified to avoid any possible disqualification on the exam day. Photo ID proof can be a PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Voter ID Card etc.
IISER Exam Centres 2025
Candidates have to choose an exam centre from the list of IISER Exam Centres 2025 while filling out IISER 2025 exam application form. There are various test venues across India where IISER 2025 will be conducted and the allotment of seats is based on the availability of the seats at each centre.
If the examination cannot be conducted in any of the centres due to unforeseen reasons, the candidate will be allotted an alternate centre, and such information will be communicated in due time. No objection in this regard is entertained.

The syllabus for IISER 2025 admission test generally follows the NCERT syllabus of classes 11 and 12 of the above-mentioned subjects. The level of difficulty of KVPY and JEE Advanced is also different from that of the IISER Aptitude test.

IISER Counselling 2025

IISER 2025 Relaxation in Qualifying Marks
Candidates who score marks equal to or more than the cut-off mark provided in the list mentioned below are eligible to apply for the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) 2025 Aptitude test. There is a relaxation of 5% for students from the OBC-NC and PWD categories. For candidates from SC, ST categories and Kashmiri migrants, the cut-off off is 55% for all boards in class 12.
