ISRO Exam Pattern 2025 consists of 80 objective-type questions from specific technical fields and 15 questions from General Aptitude, all of which carry equal marks. ISRO 2025 exam pattern is for 120 minutes in total. Each ISRO 2025 question pattern will be worth 1 mark. ISRO marking scheme will also have a - 0.25 mark deduction.

Stenography Exam Pattern 2025: Distribution of Marks

ISRO Stenographer has objective-type questions. ISRO JPA exam pattern marking scheme has +1 for correct answers and - 0.25 for every incorrect answer as part of marking.

  • 300-word shorthand test at 60 words per minute (Time: 5 minutes).
  • The text must be transcribed on the computer (time limit: 30 minutes, plus compensatory time for PWBD candidates).
  • Short-hand dictation work, i.e. strokes, etc., must be done in Pittman's short-hand (long hand is not permitted), or the transcript will be rejected.
  • Method of calculating errors in the Stenography Skill Test:- Error percentage = (Full Mistakes + Half Mistakes/2) x 100 
  • The total number of words in the master passage The percentage will be rounded to the nearest two decimal places. For example, 5.009 is handled as 5.001, and 5.001 is treated as 5.00.

ISRO Assistant Marking Scheme

 Below is the detailed marks distribution and duration for the ISRO assistant written exam . 

  • Each question will be worth one mark.
  • There will also be a 0.25 marks deduction.

ISRO Written Test

The ISRO Assistant exam pattern and selection process are outlined here. Candidates wishing to take the exam must go through two steps of the selection process:

  • The written test will carry 200 marks divided equally in all the four subjects included in the syllabus. 
  • The time allotted to complete the exam will be 120 minutes.
  • There will be a negative marking of -0.25 marks in the exam.

ISRPO Skill Test 

The ISRO assistant skill test pattern assesses a candidate's knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test in the ratio of 1:5 (maximum) for a category-wise number of vacancies with a minimum of 10 candidates based on their performance in the written test. Specific/additional candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio, regardless of reserved candidates, if any.

ISRO Technical Assistant

There will be two components to the ISRO Technical Assistant exam: a written exam and a competence test. Part A, Part B, and Part C of the written test will be separated into three portions.

ISRO Exam Pattern for Fireman 2025

The ISRO Fireman Selection Process consists of a Preliminary Medical Test (PMT) followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Detailed Medical Examination (DME), and a Written Exam.

Physical Efficiency Test

The Physical Efficiency Test will be done in two parts to determine whether or not candidates meet the physical standard criteria. Only applicants who passed Stage 1 of the PET will be invited to the detailed medical examination, and those who pass the DME will be invited to Stage 2 of the PET round.

  • The final stage of the ISRO Fireman Recruitment will be the Skill Test. The Skill Test will be on a purely "go-n-go" basis, meaning that it will be qualifying in nature.

  • The written examination will last two hours (120 minutes).

Skill Test Pattern 2025

  • The skill Test consists of two passages of 20 marks each for precis writing and two passages of 30 marks each for translation from Hindi to English and vice versa.
  • The Skill Test is scheduled to last two hours (120 minutes).
  • Skill tests will be conducted on a go-or-no-go basis, and results will not be considered for selection.
  • Those who get a minimum of 60% on the skill test will be declared qualified.
  • Only the answer scripts of the skill test for applicants who receive a minimum of 60% on the written test will be examined.
