The basic age criterion for the SSC JE 2024 Exam is mentioned below.

  • The candidate must be 18 years old or above.
  • The candidate's maximum age must be less than the specified age limits as per the post he/she is applying to.

SSC JE 2024 Exam Eligibility - Based on Nationality

SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2024 also takes into account the nationality of the candidate. Along with Indian citizens, citizens of other neighbouring countries are also allowed to sit for the exam if they satisfy the criteria given below.

  • A candidate has to be a citizen of India.
  • A candidate should be a subject of Nepal and Bhutan.
  • A candidate can be a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India.
  • A candidate can be of Indian origin who has migrated from Sri Lanka, Burma, Pakistan, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Zaire, Malawi, Vietnam and Ethiopia to permanently settle in India.
