SSC JE exam pattern 2024 has been amended by the Commission for Papers I and II, in terms of the marking scheme. According to the revised system, there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer in Paper I, and for every wrong answer in Paper II, 1 mark will be deducted.

SSC JE 2024 Marking Scheme Change
SSC JE 2024 marking pattern for both Papers I and II has been revised by the conducting authorities. As per the new marking scheme, for every wrong answer in Paper 1, the candidate will lose 0.25 marks, and in Paper II, the candidate will lose 1 mark for 1 wrong answer.
SSC JE 2024 Exam Pattern
SSC JE 2024 Exam consists of two papers; Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper-I is an objective type of paper and it is held online whereas Paper-II is a descriptive pen-paper-based test. The duration of both papers is 2 hours. These papers are available in English as well as Hindi.
The Paper I in SSC JE exam has a negative marking and is 200 marks. Candidates will receive 1 mark for each correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect one. No marks will be awarded or deducted for the unattempted questions. The Paper I has three sections namely General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Engineering [Civil, Mechanical, Electrical]. The second paper is of 300 marks and does not have negative markings. Paper II will only have questions regarding the General Engineering concepts of Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical streams.
