SVNIRTAR CET Eligibility Criteria 2023

A few major eligibility criteria for SVNIRTAR CET are given below.

  • Domicile: The candidate should be an Indian.
  • Age Criteria: The candidates who are born between 1st January 1998 and 31st December 2001 are eligible for the SVNIRTAR 2023. For SC/ST & PH categories, candidates should have been born between 1st January 1993 and 31st December 2001 are eligible. 
  • Discontinued: The candidates who have discontinued their regular study for more than 3 years will not be eligible to appear in the Entrance Test.
  • NIOS: In the case of Open Schooling: For admission at SVNIRTAR- The students passing from the recognized National Institute of Open School (NIOS), subject to fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria are eligible for admission. For admission at NIOH, the candidates who have passed from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS- Min. of HRD, Govt. of India) ONLY are eligible, as approved by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences.
  • Note: Students from any other Patrachar Vidyalaya/Open school/Open University correspondence courses are not eligible for admission at SVNIRTAR as per regulations set by Utkal University, Bhubaneshwar.

Aggregate For General/OBC category candidates, the minimum aggregate is 50% and 40% for the reserved category
Subjects The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics as their Subjects.

Course: BPT (4 years+6 months)

  • Qualification: 10+2 (Higher/Senior Secondary Examination) Sc. or equivalent recognized examination with subjects-Physics (P), Chemistry( C ), Biology (B)
  • Aggregate: English with a minimum aggregate of 50% in PCB when taken together for General/OBC and 40% for SC/ST & PH candidates.

Course: BOT (4 years+6 months)

  • Qualification: 10+2 (Higher/Senior Secondary Examination) Sc or equivalent recognized examination with subjects- Physics (P), Chemistry (C), Biology (B)
  • Aggregate: English with a minimum aggregate of 50% in PCB when taken together for General/OBC and 40% for SC/ST & PH candidates
