UPSC CSE exam centres 2024 have to be chosen by the candidates. Applicants should note that UPSC CSE examination centres (Preliminary and Mains) and the date of the examination as mentioned are liable to be changed. But the candidates must make the decision thoughtfully, as once the final selection is made, they cannot get their exam centre changed at the last moment.
However, the UPSC CSE Prelims Exam centre change facility for the Imphal candidates has begun from Apr 8, 2024, via the official website. This facility will remain active till Apr 19, 2024. Applicants who opted for Imphal as their centre earlier can now choose from 80 other centres. The exam is to be held on Jun 16, 2024. Keep reading to know more about UPSC CSE 2024 exam centres.

Allotment of Seats
The following are the pointers that the candidates must keep in mind while appearing for the exam.
- Candidates should be aware of the fact that there will be a ceiling on the number of candidates allotted to each of the Centres.
- But allotment does not apply to centres like Chennai, Dispur, Kolkata and Nagpur.
- For each centre, allotments will be on a 'first apply first serve' basis, and once the capacity of a Centre is full, further allotment will be stopped.
- Applicants, who were not eligible to get a seat in the Centre of their choice, will be required to choose a Centre for the remaining ones. So, applicants are advised that they may apply early so that they can get a Centre of their choice.
