What is the NSTSE Exam?
National Level Science Talent Search Examination (NSTSE) is a national-level competitive exam based on science and mathematics held by the Unified Council to improve the fundamentals of students at a very early age. Well-defined fundamentals of subjects play a very important role in the future of the student.
After completing school, students have to give many competitive exams like CAT, IIT-JEE, and AIEEE, which require strong fundamental skills. National Level Science Talent Search Examination helps them create such a level of understanding very early age.

NSTSE 2023 Eligibility Criteria
National Level Science Talent Search Examination is a school-level exam for classes 1 to 12.
Students who want to give the National Level Science Talent Search Examination should satisfy the following eligibility criteria.
- The student must be studying in a school affiliated with any recognized education board in India like CBSE, ICSE, state board, etc.
- Students from classes 1-12 are eligible for the exam.
- For classes 11 and 12, students must be having PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) or PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) as the main subjects in their curriculum.
- There is no exam for the classes 11 and 12 PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology) group students.
NSTSE 2023 Registration
Before 2020, students can apply for the NSTSE exam through their school. But from 2020 the Unified Council has divided the NSTSE exam into two modes; NSTSE (offline mode) and NSTSE online. Students can choose either of them according to their convenience and preference. All the students have to fill out the NSTSE registration form before the given due date to the Unified Council.
In NSTSE (offline mode), students can fill out the application form available on the Unified Council official website or traditionally through schools; students can contact their coordinators for school registration. In this pattern, students have to give exams in their respective schools only.
In NSTSE online, students can only get registered as individual participants by applying at the Unified Council official website with their parent's or guardians' help. In this mode of exam, students can give the NSTSE exam in the comfort of their homes.

NSTSE Registration Fee
Every student has to pay a registration fee to the unified council according to the mode (NSTSE and NSTSE online) they choose to give the exam.

NSTSE 2023 Admit Card
Hall tickets for the National Level Science Talent Search Examination will be available on the NSTSE official website. Students can download their NSTSE admit card from the official site by filling in all the essential credentials. No students will be allowed to sit in the exam hall without the admit card.

NSTSE 2023 Syllabus
The National Level Science Talent Search Examination is highly based on mathematics, science, and critical thinking. The NSTSE syllabus for every class is different according to their class syllabus. For example, the syllabus for class 5 is different from class 1. But the basic core or the exam remains the same the whole time.
Below are the details of the NSTSE syllabus,
- In the mathematics section, questions are related to Vedic mathematics, usage of mathematics in real life. The level of questions keeps increasing as per the class of students.
- In the science section for class 5, questions are related to general science. For classes 6 to 12, questions will be framed from physics, chemistry, and biology.
- In the critical thinking section, questions are designed to assess the combination of skills like conscious application in real life, logical & inductive reasoning, strategies in decision making, and higher-order thinking.

NSTSE 2023 Sample Papers

NSTSE 2023 Results
The NSTSE results will be released on the Unified Council official website. Students can download their NSTSE results from the official website after filling in their correct credentials. Participants also get their digital certificate of participation and student participation report (SPR) to analyze themselves for further improvement.
The result will be in the form of a scorecard. It consists of students' hall ticket number, name, class, and scores in different subjects. Along with the result, the NSTSE answer key will also be uploaded to the NSTSE website.

NSTSE 2023 Awards and Recognition
There are no NSTSE 2nd level exams, so those students who have secured a rank in the level 1 exam in each class are awarded many amazing prizes, rewards, scholarships.

- Each class's top 3 rank holders receive a laptop, tablet PC, a memento, medal, and certificate.
- The students holding rank from 4 to 10 are awarded a cash prize of INR 1000 each.
