Placements and Internships
- We get plenty of sales & marketing, and finance profiles.
- Well-known companies like EY-GDS, Marico, Britania, Delloite, ICICI and Asian Paints visit our campus not for only placements but internships also.
- These companies also offer opportunities for PPO (Pre-Placement Offer).
- B R Specialities, Big Basket, Sports 365, and Decathlon also offer internships to the students.
- This year we even had Fidelity Investments, an American multinational financial services corporation, visit our campus with a stipend offer of INR 60,000/month.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The eligibility criteria were obtaining a minimum of 85% to get shortlisted.
- Then we had GD (Group Discussion) and WAT (Writing Ability Test) on a topic chosen by draw of lots.
- The shortlisted students had PI (Personal Interview) with a panel consisting of 3 to 6 faculty members.
- After GD-WAT-PI was completed for all the candidates, they released the names of the selected students and those on the waiting list.
- If one of the selected students withdraws from his/her seat, then the seat will get allotted to a student from the waiting list.
- The students can confirm the seat by paying the first instalment. There are a total of four instalments.
Fees and Scholarships
- Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, [LBSIM] New Delhi Fee Structure.
- 1st instalment of fees’ breakup for the batch 2020-22 was as follows:
- The tuition fee of INR 3,70,250, the enrolment fee of INR 50,000, the security deposit (refundable) of INR 5,000 and the examination fee of (1st trimester) INR 1,250, totalling INR 4,26,500. If outside Delhi NCR, please add a hostel fee (first instalment) of INR 1,50,000.
- The instalment-wise breakup of the full course fee as per schedule 2020-22 was as follows:
- First installment (at the time of admission) INR 4,25,250 + INR 1,250, second installment of INR 2,47,250 + INR 1,250, third installment of INR 2,47,250 + INR 1,250, and fourth & final installment of INR 2,47,250 + INR 1,250. Totaling up to INR 11,67,000 + INR 5,000 (excluding management grid, alumni and hostel fee).
- Also, scholarships of INR 50,000 were disbursed to students on merit-cum-means basis.
Clubs and Associations
- As ours is a student-driven institute, we have two major student bodies: placement cell and Management Grid (MG).
- MG is the liaison between students and faculty, and administration and is also the governing body of the 13 clubs. They are - cerebrate (strategy and consultancy), DARE (data analysis), entrepreneurship cell, eureka (operations & system), finesse (finance), genesis (marketing), HRythm (HR), mirage (creativity & innovation), MnC (Media and Communication), nivesh (mutual fund), plithos (literary and debating), sparsh (social), and zenith (sports).
- We have four cultural societies as well, that are, razzmatazz (dance), mantra (music), vogue (fashion), and abhivyakti (dramatics).
- Plithos organizes national level debating competition called Lalita Shastri debating competition with a prize pool of INR 50,000 cash in 2021.
- Every club concludes its activities in a 48-hours annual fest TATVA.
- Other student bodies involve alumni cell, ELD (External Liaison Division), rural immersion and corporate immersion.

Placements & Internships : LBSIM has great placements and internships. With over 294 students participating in the placements process, the institute witnessed 305 job offers from 87 companies. The average salary offered is INR 9.9 lakhs. The highest salary offered is around INR 21 LPA. A host of companies drawn from various sectors such as FMCG, consulting, IT and ITes etc.

There are various scholarship options such as meri-cum-means scholarship and central sector schemes, and the deserving students can avail themselves the merit scholarship from economically weaker backgrounds. There is also the Lalita Shastri scholarship and the Tessy Thomas scholarship. On average, 12 students get the merit scholarship, while the other students can get scholarships based on eligibility criteria. Loans are available for those in need.
