Gujarat scholarships, funded by the central government, state government, NGOs, and other private organizations, offer financial aid to students to complete their education. Various Gujarat scholarships are available to students from class I to the postdoctoral research level. The state has set up an online portal called Digital Gujarat for students to register, apply, and track their application status easily. Students will get INR 5,000 per month after getting selected for the scheme. The deadline for the Gujarat scholarship application for 2023 was July 30, 2023.

List of Gujarat Scholarships
The Indian central government, state government of Gujarat, NGOs and other private organisations offer various Gujarat scholarship schemes to students from different class levels and economic categories. MYSY Scholarship
The education department under the State government of Gujarat offers the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY). Candidates who are seeking admission for a diploma or degree can apply to this Gujarat scholarship scheme. However, they should be domiciled in the state and have secured 80% or more marks in class X (for diploma course) or class XII (for degree course). The state government will cover the scholar's tuition fee of up to INR 2,00,000. In addition, they will receive other monetary benefits.

Higher Secondary Gujarat Scholarship for Minorities
The higher secondary Gujarat scholarships are available to students from the minorities and SEBC categories. Those domiciled in Gujarat and pursuing higher secondary classes, classes XI and XII, can apply to these Gujarat scholarships. The state government will offer up to INR 1,140 per annum to the selected students for their education.
Post SSC Gujarat Scholarship
The State government offers post-SSC Gujarat scholarship schemes for female and male students domiciled in the state. They are specifically available to the SEBC and NTDNT category students. Candidates from class XI to PhD degree can avail post SSC Gujarat scholarship schemes for boys and girls. The state government will offer up to INR 280 per month to female and male scholars. However, the Gujarat scholarship amount will differ as per the classes and courses pursued by the students under this scheme.
Post-Matric Gujarat Scholarship
Under the state government, the Department of Social justice and Empowerment provides post-matric Gujarat scholarships for the SC, ST and OBC students. The aim is to help deserving students pursue higher education by providing financial aid. Therefore, the SC, ST and OBC students pursuing class XI or above whose annual family income does not exceed INR 2,50,000 for SC/ST and INR 1,00,000 for OBC categories can apply to the post-matric Gujarat scholarships. Candidates studying through correspondence or distance education can also apply to these schemes. However, they should clear the previous qualifying examinations without repeating a year.
Gujarat Scholarships for Disabled Students
The Government provides scholarships to the differently-abled students hailing from the backward classes. The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment offers this Gujarat scholarship to candidates domiciled in the state and studying at recognised institutions. Therefore, candidates with more than 40% disability and whose family income is more than INR 50,000 can apply to the scholarship. In addition, they should have obtained at least 40% marks in their previous qualifying exam and maintained a good attendance record. The selected students will receive up to INR 5,000 through this centrally sponsored Gujarat scholarship.
Food Bill Assistance for Medical/Engineering Students
The Government offers food bill assistance for SEBC students pursuing professional courses such as medicine and engineering. This Gujarat scholarship scheme aims to financially support candidates from economically backward classes by offering monthly stipends to cover the hosted meal costs. Candidates residing at hostels affiliated to the medical and engineering colleges and whose family income is less than INR 2,50,000 per annum can apply to this Gujarat scholarship. The selected candidates will receive INR 1,200 per month for ten months in a year.
Swami Vivekanand Stipend Scheme for Technical and Professional Courses
The State government provides a Swami Vivekanand stipend scheme for technical and professional courses. Therefore, students from the minority, EBC, NTDNT and SEBC categories pursuing technical and professional courses can apply to this Gujarat scholarship scheme. However, the student’s family income in rural areas should not exceed INR 1,20,000 per annum and INR 1,50,000 for those residing in urban areas. The scholars can receive up to INR 400 per month under this Gujarat scholarship scheme.
Higher Education Gujarat Scholarship Scheme
The Digital Gujarat scholarship 2023 is a state-funded programme available to students from higher secondary school to post-graduation levels. The applicants' family income should not be more than INR 2,50,000. In addition, they should be pursuing their studies in a government-aided college to be eligible for this Gujarat scholarship scheme. The state government rewards upto INR 6,000 to the scholars for one year.
Fellowship Scheme
The State government has initiated the fellowship scheme to the domiciles of Gujarat belonging to the SC, ST SEBC and other reserved categories. Students from class XI to those pursuing a postgraduate degree can receive the benefits of this scheme. The government has initiated the programme to help students from backward classes pursue higher education without financial constraints. The students will receive up to INR 5,000 per month towards their education.
How to Apply for Gujarat Digital Scholarships?
The Government has launched the Digital Gujarat portal for students to apply for state-funded Gujarat digital scholarships and track their applications' status. Candidates applying for the first time should check their eligibility criteria and complete the registration process. Upon registration, they can log in to the Digital Gujarat portal scholarship by providing their credentials. After completing the Digital Gujarat scholarship login procedure, the students can select from a list of Gujarat scholarships and submit their applications. In addition, the applicants should scan the essential documents and upload them online before submitting the applications.
