Kotak Kanya scholarship is synonymous with the project of the Mahindra group, which the Kotak Education Foundation implements. Girl students can apply for this scholarship, and it offers financial support to underprivileged students. Therefore, those in the backward section pursuing higher professional education after 12th grade can apply for the scholarship. 

Girl students admitted to the first-year program in professional graduate courses like architecture, medicine, designing, engineering, specialized commerce, finance, and computer courses, CA, CS, CFA, CWA, and LLB can apply for the scholarship. The last date to apply for the scholarship is September 30, 2023.

Kotak Kanya Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Candidates willing to pursue higher studies can apply for this scholarship. It is exclusively available to female students. The eligibility criteria for the Kotak Kanya scholarship are as follows:

• The scholarship is open to girls.
• She must be an Indian student.
• She must have cleared the 12th std examination with 75% or an identical CGPA.
• Girl scholars are those who have affixed admission to the first-year convocation program in professional graduate courses like architecture, medicine, designing, engineering, specialized commerce, finance, and computer courses, and other courses pursued alongside graduation like CA, CS, CFA, CWA, LLB can apply for this scholarship.
• The annual income of the girl's family should not exceed INR 3 lakhs.
• Children of Kotak Mahindra group employees, Kotak Education Foundation, and Buddy4study are not permitted to apply for the Kotak Kanya scholarship.

Renewal Criteria

The scholarship will function until a female student's professional graduation degree is completed with the normal graduation. Although, the candidates should fulfill the renewal criteria for re-application. The renewal criteria of the Kotak Kanya Scholarship are as follows:

• The candidates should not drop out.
• They should not get any penal issues.
• Educational performance should always be more than 6 Grade Point Average (GPA) or equivalent to 70%.
• The renewal will always be based on the behavior of the girl child, and it is also the sole discretion of the Kotak group.

Kotak Kanya Scholarship Rewards

The organization provides INR 1,00,000 as the Kotak Kanya scholarship reward. The benefits after availing of the scholarships are as follows:

• Scholarships of up to INR 1 lakh per year will be awarded to the selected students until their professional graduation course/degree is completed.
• The students can utilize the scholarship amount to shield their academic expenses, tuition fees, hostel fees (only on-campus hostel), books, stationery, internet, and laptops.

How to Apply Kotak Kanya Scholarship?

Candidates can apply online for the Kotak Kanya scholarship 2023. However, those using it for the first time should register before applying. The stepwise procedure is as follows:

Step 1: The candidates should visit the official website.

Step 2: Click the apply now button on the official site.

Step 3: Register on the portal with a valid mobile number, email ID, Facebook, or Gmail. 

Step 4: After registering, the candidates click the start application button. 

Step 5: The candidates should complete the application form and upload the required documents.

Step 6: They should accept the terms and conditions and click preview.
