Ladli Laxmi Yojana is committed to developing the girl children who are domiciled in Madhya Pradesh. The scheme is run by the Department of Women and child development under the state government of Madhya Pradesh. Female children born after January 1, 2006, can apply to the Ladli Laxmi Yojana. The State Government offers monetary and other benefits to the selected girls.
The Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme aims to change the public's approach towards girl children by investing in their education, health conditions and increasing the sex ratio of girls in Madhya Pradesh. The selected girls will receive the Ladli Laxmi Yojana amount through the e-payment mode. Additionally, the child will receive a final lump sum payment if she appears for the class XII board exams and remains unmarried until 18 years. The tentative final date for submitting the Ladli Laxmi Yojana was June 30, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria for the Ladli Laxmi Yojana
The Ladli Laxmi Yojana applies to female children who are domiciles of Madhya Pradesh and are born after January 1st, 2006. The state government of Madhya Pradesh has launched the Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme to change the stigma associated with girls in the state. The details of the Ladli Laxmi Yojana eligibility criteria are as follows:
- The parents of the girl child should be natives of Madhya Pradesh.
- They should be living below the poverty line and should not be paying taxes to the government.
- The parents with a second girl child should have had family planning before applying for the Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme.
- The female students should not discontinue their education.
- Note: If the students discontinue their education, they will stop receiving the benefits of the Ladli Laxmi Yojana.
- Only up to two daughters in a family can avail benefits of Ladli Laxmi Yojana. However, if the family has twin girls, then the third girl child can also apply to the scheme.
- In the case of an orphan, the girl child should be adopted by a family, and they should be able to submit the certificate of adoption to the authorities.
- The beneficiaries should visit the Anganwadi centres regularly.
- In case of the parent's death, the guardians should apply to the Ladli Laxmi Yojana when the girl child turns five years old.
- The beneficiary should hold a valid account in a nationalised bank.
Benefits of Ladli Laxmi Yojana
The State government will issue INR 1,18,000 in the female child's name. In addition, every year, the state government will purchase the National Savings Certificates (NSC) of INR 6,000 in the child's name registered under the Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme. The Madhya Pradesh government will deposit the amount each year for five consecutive years until the amount reaches INR 30,000. The scheme offers financial aid for the girl's education and a lump sum amount when she attends 21 years of age. Listed below are the details of the Ladli Laxmi Yojana benefits:
- They will receive an amount as they move to different classes.

- Female students in classes XI and XII will additionally receive INR 200 per month.
- The government will make a final lump sum amount of INR 1,00,000 when the girl child reaches 21 years of age under the Ladli Laxmi Yojana.
- Note: The state government of Madhya Pradesh will grant a lump sum amount if the girls remained unmarried up to 18 years of age and appeared for the class XII board exam.
How to Apply for Ladli Laxmi Yojana?
The parents/ guardians of the female children who meet the eligibility criteria can apply to the Ladli Laxmi Yojana online. However, they should register the child for the Ladli Laxmi Yojana before commencing the application process. The applicants can register their daughters directly through the official website or an Anganwadi worker from a project office or public service centre. They can also approach any internet cafe to submit the Ladli Laxmi Yojana forms.
Registration Process
The parents/ guardians should register their daughters for the Ladli Laxmi Yojana before filling in the application form. After completing the Ladli Laxmi Yojana online registration, the applicants will receive a registration number. Given below are the steps to register the girl child for the Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme:
Step 1: The applicants should visit the official Ladli Laxmi Yojna website.
Step 2: They should click on the scholarship registration button available on the homepage.
Step 3: Next, they should fill in the Ladli Laxmi Yojana online form with the required details and click on the save information button.
Online Application
After successful registration, the applicants can submit the Ladli Laxmi Yojana online application form on the website. Given below are the steps to apply online:
Step 1: The applicants should visit the official Ladli Laxmi Yojana website.
Step 2: They should click on the application letter (आवेदन पत्र) tab available at the top of the page.
Step 3: Next, the applicants should click on the general public (जनसामान्य) button.
Step 4: They should confirm the Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2023 eligibility by selecting the details from the drop-down menu and clicking on the save information button.
Step 5: The parents/ guardians should fill in all the details such as the girl child and family details, address, etc.
Step 6: They should attach scanned copies of the essential documents.
Step 7: After duly filling in the application form, the applicants should cross-verify the Ladli Laxmi Yojana details and click on the submit button to complete the application process.
Offline Application
The applicants can register offline within one year after the birth of a female child. They can visit any Anganwadi centre and obtain the Ladli Laxmi Yojana application form. They should duly fill in the application form and submit it along with copies of the essential documents.
Essential Documents of Ladli Laxmi Yojana
The applicants should submit all the essential documents to the project office. They will verify and attest the documents for acceptance. Listed below are the essential documents required for the Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme:
- Ladli Laxmi Yojana application form (available online)
- A photograph of the girl child with her mother
- Birth certificate
- Domicile certificate/ proof of residence
- Bank details (photocopy of the passbook or a cancelled cheque with the name of the bank, bank branch, account number and IFSC code)
- ID proof issued by the government such as an aadhaar card, ration card, etc.
Terms and Conditions of Ladli Laxmi Yojana
Listed below are the conditions to follow while uploading the essential documents for the Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme:
- The applicants should scan all the documents and convert them into the required format.
- They should ensure the scanned documents are legible.
- The documents should be in a png, jpg, gif and jpeg format.
- The girl child's photo with her mother should be between the size of 40 KB to 100 KB.
- The size of the other documents can be up to 200 KB.
