MahaDBT – Aaple Sarkar DBT or MahaDBT is a well-known online scholarship portal of Maharashtra's Government. The portal manages nearby 38 post-matric scholarships, which are administered by various authorities following the state government. The applicants who are a resident in places in Maharashtra can apply for these scholarships through the MahaDBT portal. The fundamental purpose of the portal is to support active implementation and payment of scholarships within the state. It also improves clarity in the forms presented and documents uploaded by scholars apart from the proper disbursement of scholarships directly into the beneficiaries' accounts.

MahaDBT – Maharashtra Scholarship Schemes Details

There are eight branches of Government of Maharashtra that grant scholarships for applicants appearing from diverse segments of the community. Some of the distinguished departments incorporate Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, Directorate of Technical Education, Tribal Development Department, Directorate of Higher Education and more further. The Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance (SJSA) awards five scholarship systems through MahaDBT portal to provide economic assist with the scholars of Maharashtra. Certain scholarships are suitable for studies at the post-matriculation level. The complete report on each of the scholarships is noted in the table given below.

Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship	The parents/guardian annual income should be less than or equal to INR 2.5 Lakh.The student should belong to Scheduled Caste (SC) or Navbouddha category. The student must be a resident of Maharashtra. The student should have passed SSC/equivalent matric. In the case of the student studying out of Maharashtra, the same rules are applicable. Only two professional courses are allowed.
Post Matric Tuition Fee and Examination Fee (Freeship)	The parents/guardian annual income should not exceed above INR 2.5 Lakh. The student’s category should be Scheduled Caste (SC) or Neo Buddhist. The student should be a resident of Maharashtra. The student should have passed SSC/equivalent matric. The student’s institute should be located in Maharashtra recognised by the Government. The students should admit through CAP round only for Professional Courses.
Maintenance Allowance for Students Studying in Professional Courses	The students should be admitted in professional courses. The students should be the scholarship holder of Government of India. The family annual income should less than or equal to INR 2.5 Lakh. The students who are studying in the professional curriculum and residing in Hostel (Government or Institutes Hostel or outside).
Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship	The student should belong to SC category. There is no income limit for the scholarship. Students must be studying in class 11th or 12th. Students should secure 75% and above in class 10th. The student should be a resident of Maharashtra.
Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with Disability	The students who are disabled are eligible to apply. (40% or above) The students should be residents of Maharashtra. The students should be studying in recognised university or institute. The scholarship will not be applicable if the candidate fails or quits the same course. The student studying in recognised institute or college out of Maharashtra and belong to the Maharashtra state are also eligible. The students pursuing post-graduation from the medical field but not allowed to practice out of institute are also eligible. The candidates who are taking distance education from a recognised institution where non-refundable fees have to be paid by the student are eligible to apply. The candidate residing in college/institute or any other recognized hostel & if he/she pays hostel fees then the candidate’s maintenance allowance will be given at hosteller rates.

Post Matric Tuition Fee and Examination Fee (Freeship)

The candidate will be awarded tuition Fees, exam fees & other fees which are mandatory or compulsorily payable by the student to the institution are covered under the scheme.

Maintenance Allowance for Students Studying in Professional Courses

The scholarship award for students residing in government hostels.

Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship

The SC students who secured 75% in the SSC examination and takes admission in Class XI will get scholarship INR 300 per month for 10 months for two years.

This Scholarship will be given in addition to the Government of India (GOI) scholarship and freeship.

Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with Disability

The maintenance allowance is provided as per Group A, Group B, Group C, Group D, Group E per month
