For General category candidates, having 54 marks minimum to qualify for GUJCET colleges; for Reserved category candidates, it is compulsory to have scored 48 marks in the examination.

The total mark in the GUJCET entrance examination is 120. The GUJCET qualifying marks are 54 for the General category students and for the Reserved category, GUJCET qualifying marks are 48.
The GUJCET cutoff score is calculated with the GUJCET score, which holds 40% weightage and with Class 12th’s marks which carry 60% weightage in calculating the GUJCET cutoff score.

- To be able to appear for the GUJCET entrance exam, the candidate must have an aggregate of 45% in Class 12th.
- The candidate should be a resident of Gujarat or have an address proof of permanent residence in Gujarat state.
- Candidates can be residents of any state other than Gujarat but must have a Gujarat domicile certificate.
- The candidate must be 17 years of age or older.
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
