1. K. Radhakrishnan
The youngest chairman of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), K. Radhakrishnan, is popularly known as the man behind the ‘Mangalyaan’ mission. He was the Indian Space Chief for over five years and led 37 space missions, including the Mars Orbiter Mission (Mangalyaan), the Chandrayaan-2, and the flying Indian Cryogenic Engine GSLV. In addition, he was part of the Ministry of Earth Sciences and briefly served in UNESCO to set up the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC).
Radhakrishnan is also an avid Kathakali dance performer. He is also interested in Carnatic music. He has performed in several dance and music festivals such as Bengaluru Sangeeth Utsav, Sankranthi Music Festival of RK Srikantan Trust, etc. He is also a recipient of the Padma Bhushan award, given for contribution to Space Science and Technology.

2. Aswath Damodaran
Aswath Damodaran is a Professor in Finance at the Stern School of Business at New York University. He is the author of more than 20 renowned books in valuation, corporate finance, etc. He has also published several research papers in some of the leading journals of finance. His expertise is such; he is widely known as the ‘Dean of Valuation’.
Damodaran is the professed authority about valuation. Known and awarded for his excellence in teaching, he is widely quoted, and his works were studied in leading institutions around the world. Not only that, he is a source of advice for Wall Street bankers and investors due to his extraordinary grasp on his subjects.

3. Sameer Suneja
As the first non-Italian CEO of Perfetti Van Melle, the third-largest confectionery company globally, Sameer needs little introduction. He is one of the more prominent alumni of IIM Bangalore, graduating in 1994. Sameer worked at Colgate and later Frito Lay before joining Perfetti Van Melle. He was the vice president for global innovations and business development before being promoted to global CEO.
His appointment was seen as a sign that Indian leaders, who had tackled national challenges in business, have the required experience and exposure of competitive markets needed to head global firms. It was an accomplishment for Sameer Suneja and IIM Bangalore that he was able to succeed so astoundingly.

4. Malavika Harita
The first female to be awarded the Distinguished Alumni award by IIM Bangalore, Malavika Harita, is the president of the Ad Club of Bangalore. She was formerly the CEO of the advertising company Saatchi & Saatchi Focus, which has been rebranded as Publicis Health & Publicis Business. Malavika started her career with Hindustan Motor Tools (HMT) and later joined Mudra communications. She is now an Adjunct Faculty at S.P Jain School of Global Management.
She also happens to be one of the first to be awarded the Gurukul Chevening Scholarship, selected by the British government for a special program in the London School of Economics. She is also the first woman to deliver the foundation day speech at IIM Bangalore. In a piece of irony, she used to be president of the Alumni Association of IIM Bangalore.

5. Ravi Subramanian
A national best-selling author, he is aspiring to be the ‘Grisham of Banking’. Ravi Subramanian spent close to two decades in the financial industry after he graduated from IIM Bangalore. Even now, he is the CEO of an NBFC. Popularly known for his banking thrillers, his most acclaimed work is the trilogy The Incredible Banker, The Bankster, and Bankerupt (2013).
He has won the Crossword Book Award for his trilogy and numerous other awards for his other books. He is also a noted columnist writing for the Economic Times. Having graduated from IIM Bangalore in 1993, he still maintains a close working relationship with the institute.

6. Karan Bajaj
The founder and CEO of WhiteHat Jr., Karan, was a leading figure in the EdTech industry. He was the CEO of Discovery Networks India before his venture into start-ups. BYJU later acquired WhiteHat Jr. in 2020. Karan is a prolific author with titles such as Keep Off the Grass, Johnny Gone Down, and Seeker under his belt. His books have received generally positive reviews, with Seeker being a national bestseller at launch.
He is also a known yoga practitioner. Karan studied with Sivananda Ashram in Madurai, and it is this experience that led to his third book, Seeker, being written. Karan Bajaj has also mediated under the Himalayas during his one-year sabbatical from work.

7. Deepak Ohri
A notable public speaker, Deepak Ohri is the founder and CEO of Lebua Hotels & Resorts. He is a graduate of the Institute of Hotel Management and completed his post-graduation from IIM Bangalore. Deepak is well known for having worked with the famous Taj Hotels hospitality group. In addition, he is a well-known mentor of business students and a guest speaker in various colleges and institutions.
Deepak led the problem-riddled Challenge Hospitality group to greater heights and has made it into a classic rags-to-riches story.
