IIM Bangalore (IIMB) Scholarships: Eligibility, Amount and Other Details

IIM Bangalore Scholarship is offered to students as financial aid to help them pursue their academic careers without any constraints. Students with exemplary academic records are awarded scholarships. Certain socio-economic conditions and financial restrictions are also considered while the IIMB scholarships are granted.

IIM Bangalore offers three MBA and three EPGP course scholarships of their own. In addition, three government and seven corporate scholarships are also offered. Scholarships by IIM Bangalore

IIM Bangalore scholarships are offered on merit and societal conditions. The details of the IIMB scholarships are mentioned below.

Siddhartha Padam Award 

This Indian Institute of Management Bangalore scholarship is awarded to the student who makes it to the Director’s Merit List and scores the highest CGPA in Finance, Accounting and Economics courses. A medallion, a certificate and a cash prize of INR 50,000 are awarded to the selected student.  

NTPC Scholarship Scheme

In this IIM Bangalore scholarship, students are paid INR 48,000 annually. Students from SC, ST and PwD categories are eligible for this scholarship if they have passed their first-year examination on the first try.

Employment in Social Sector Scholarship

IIM Bangalore encourages students to take up jobs in social sectors. The institute compensates the student by repaying one-third of the fees at the end of each year for three consecutive years.

Scholarships by Alumni of IIM Bangalore

The Alumni IIM Bangalore scholarship 2023 has been designed for differently-abled female students of the PGP course. A medallion, a certificate, and an amount of INR 75,000 are awarded to the one female student who satisfies the eligibility criteria. A differently-abled male student is selected if no female students are present/eligible. This scholarship is a reminder of the batch of 1976 and their association with IIMB.

Scholarships by The Government of India

The Government of India offers a helping hand to the needy and meritorious students of the country. Various IIM Bangalore scholarships are offered to students, which help them pursue their academics and build careers. Merit Scholarships For EPGP Course

The various IIM Bangalore Scholarships 2023 awarded to students of EPGP course by IIMB for their merit are mentioned below

Merit Scholarship During Admission

• An IIM Bangalore scholarship amount of INR 6 Lakhs is offered to the top three ranks in rounds 1 and 3, and top four ranks in Round 2 of admissions. The overall admission score is considered for awarding this Indian Institute of Management Bangalore scholarship. Half of the scholarship amount is awarded as a tuition fee waiver, and the other half is renewed based on the academic performance of the students at the end of term 2
• A scholarship of INR 5 Lakhs is offered to diverse groups of two students in rounds 1 and 3 and three students in round 2 of admissions who have not been awarded any other IIMB scholarship. Half of the scholarship amount is awarded as a tuition fee waiver, and the other half is renewed based on the academic performance of the students at the end of term 2

Merit Scholarship During Program

Five students are awarded an IIMB scholarship of INR 3 Lakhs based on their CGPA and academic performance at the end of term 2 of their course.

Financial Aid

• IIMB offers financial aid to students in need to provide every student with equal education opportunities irrespective of their financial status. 
• Students with a family income of less than INR 8 LPA are eligible for financial assistance from the college. 
• Students who face financial hardships due to unforeseen circumstances are also eligible for this IIM Bangalore scholarship.
• The financial aid is decided through two steps- the financial status score and the personal interview with faculty members.
• In the first step, the student's financial status is assessed to determine the gravity of their financial hardship. The annual household income (including the student’s income), household savings, real estate, and other assets are considered.
• Based on the financial need score from the first step, the student has a one-on-one interaction with the faculty panel. 
• After the interaction, a weighted average score is calculated, determining how much financial aid will be awarded to the student.
• An IIM Bangalore scholarship of 20% /40%/60%/80%/100% is awarded to the students.
