1. Veerabhadra Ramanathan
Veerabhadran is Edward A. Frieman Endowed Presidential Chair in “Climate Sustainability Scripps Institution of Oceanography” in University of California, San Diego. He has contributed to many areas of the climate and atmospheric sciences, including the developments to general circulation models, radiative transfer, and atmospheric chemistry. He did his postgraduation with IISc.
He has also been a part of major projects such as the Indian Ocean Experiment (INDOEX), and the Earth Radiation Budget Experiment (ERBE). He is majorly known for his contributions to the areas of climate physics, Climate Change and atmospheric aerosols research. He has won awards such as the Buys Ballot Medal, Tang Prize, BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knwoledge Award and more.

2. Sudha Murthy
Sudha Murty is an Indian businesswoman, an educator, an author and a philanthropist who is also the chairperson of the Infosys Foundation. Murthy did her undergraduate degree B.E with IISc Bangalore. She was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in India, for social work by the Government of India in 2006. She has authored many wonderful books such as Three Thousand Stitches, Grandma’s Stories and more.

3. A.S. Kiran Kumar
Aluru Seelin Kiran Kumar is an Indian space scientist and former chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation. He was credited with the development of key scientific instruments aboard the Chandrayaan-1 and Mangalyaan space crafts. Kumar did his masters with IISc Bangalore in B.Tech Aeroscience. In 2014, he was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award, for his contributions to the fields of science and technology. Also, Kiran Kumar previously served as Director of Ahmedabad Space Applications Centre.

4. Purnima Sinha
Dr. Purnima Sinha was an Indian physicist. And she was one of the first Bengali women to receive a doctorate in physics. She specialized in the field of x-ray crystallography of clay minerals. She got her undergraduate degree from Asutosh College and then her postgraduate from Calcutta University, finally she did her doctorate in IISc Bangalore.

5. H.R. Nagendra
R. Nagendra is an Indian mechanical engineer, yoga master and writer. He is the founder vice chancellor of Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana in Bengaluru. He graduated from IISc with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering. He has authored over 35 books and 100 research papers on Yoga. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2016, for his contributions to society.
