Manipal University Direct Admission 2024: The candidates can apply for Manipal University direct admission 2024 on the official website. Direct admission is available only for a few select courses such as B.Tech Computer Science and Technology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and more. 

Manipal University conducts the annual Manipal Entrance Test (MET) for admission to various B.Tech programs. Students can apply for direct admission if there are seats left after allocation based on MET.

Candidates must note that Manipal University does not have a management quota/ reserved/ donation seats for any of their programs. All admissions are made strictly based on merit. The university, however, does have a reservation of seats for international students (foreign/ NRI/ PIO card holders/ OCI) for all their programs.

Manipal University Direct Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Students seeking Manipal University direct admission to the various B. Tech courses must meet the following eligibility criteria.

• Candidates qualified for JEE Advanced based on their SAT score. 
• MET 2024 rank holders could not attend counseling.
• All students who take Physics, Mathematics, and English as obligatory subjects and have a 60% or higher in PMX subjects in their 12th grade, where X could be Chemistry, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Biology, Statistics, or Engineering Drawing. 

Manipal University has also laid out eligibility criteria based on the qualifying educational board of students as:

Indian Board Students

• Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or any technical vocational subject* as optional, from a recognized Board, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics, and any one of the optional subjects. 
• Technical vocational subjects chosen should be related to the chemical, civil, computer, electrical, and mechanical streams.

A-level Students

• Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or any technological vocational subject* as an optional subject in the 'A' Levels, and English in the 'AS', 'IGCSE', or GCSE.
• The minimum grade necessary is an average of 'D' grade in Physics, Mathematics, and any of the optional topics. 
• Technical vocational subjects chosen should be related to the Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical streams.

IB Students

• Optional subjects include English, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or any technical vocational subject (ideally Mathematics and Physics at the HL level). 
• IB Diploma or Certificate with a minimum average of 4 points in Physics, Mathematics, and any optional subject*, with a total minimum of 24 points. 
• Technical vocational subjects chosen should be related to the chemical, civil, computer, electrical, and mechanical streams.

Manipal University Direct Admission Process 2024 

Candidates must meet the minimal qualifying standards established by MIT Manipal admission authorities based on their choice of MIT Manipal courses. Students will be shortlisted for admission to MIT Manipal's B. Tech programs based on the minimum cutoff of the MET Exam administered by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). 

Candidates must meet the minimal MET cutoff marks, which are issued by MAHE with each round of seat allotment results. Manipal Institute of Technology admits MCA students based on the results of their most recent qualifying test. Final admission to MIT Manipal is confirmed after documents are verified and the entrance fee is paid. 

The steps for admission to the different B. Tech programs are as follows:

Step 1: Fill out the MAHE Application Form

The first step in the admission process begins with filling out the application form on the official website, which can be completed in the following way:

• Visit the official website of MAHE.
• The candidates must register themselves in the official website.
• Verify the candidate's email address and OTP received via email. 
• Fill out the MIT Manipal application form online with the necessary details - personal, educational qualification, and other details.
• Upload all required documents for admission.
• Pay MIT Manipal's application fee of INR 600, along with the fees for the entrance exam which is INR 1,400.

Step 2: Application Acceptance

The students can check their registered email ID and phone number to know if their application status. Or the students can even check the official website - MAHE, with the help of their registered email ID, they can know their application status. Once the application is processed and accepted the students are required to go for document verification in person. 

Step 3: Verification of Documents

Admission requirements are completed once documents are verified and the MIT Manipal admission fee is paid. The following list of documents are required for Manipal University Direct Admission 2024-

• Passport size photographs
• Class 10th mark sheet and certificate
• Class 12th mark sheet and certificate
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• Migration certificate
• Transfer certificate 
• MET scorecard

Step 4: Fee Payment

Once the documnents are verified by the admission committee in Manipal University. The students can pay their admission fee 2024 through netbanking or Demand Draft (DD) format to the office. The students must collect the receipt for their fee payment and file it along with their other admission documents for safe keeping.
