TS ECET Rank Card 2024: Steps to Download, Qualifying Marks

TS ECET Rank Card 2024: TS ECET result 2024 was released on May 20, 2024, on the official website of Osmania University, Hyderabad. Candidates who appeared for the Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS ECET) can view their results on the official website by entering their login credentials.

Now that the TS ECET result has been announced, the first round of registration for TS ECET 2024 counselling registrations has begun from 8th to 11th June 2024. Each round of TS ECET counselling in 2024 requires a different registration process.

Candidates will be offered admission to Engineering BE, B.Tech, and B.Pharma courses based on the ranks they secure. The TS ECET 2024 ranks are based on the scores they secure in the examination.

TS ECET rank card 2024 is based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the entrance examination. The re-evaluation and re-totalling of the answer sheet were not entertained.

Candidates must check the TS ECET result 2024 online on the official TS ECET 2024 website. The rank list will be displayed on the official website after completing the TS ECET 2024 exam. Further, the students will be admitted based on the merit of their scores and the rank they secure.

• Step 1: Go to the official website of TS ECET 2024.
• Step 2: Click on the "TS ECET result notification link."
• Step 3: Candidates must log in with their registered number, hall ticket number, and date of birth.
• Step 4: Click on the "View Results" button and the TS ECET 2024 result, and the rank card will appear on the screen.
• Step 5: Students can download and take a printout of their results for future reference.

TS ECET 2024 Qualifying Marks

The TS ECET 2024 qualifying marks are the minimum marks required to pass the TS ECET 2024 exam. Here’s a quick overview of the TS ECET qualifying marks  2024:

• The qualifying percentage marks for obtaining a rank in TS ECET rank card 2024 is 25% of the aggregate marks in the four subjects (three subjects for B.Sc. Mathematics), i.e., 50 out of 200.
• In the case of SC/ST candidates, there are no minimum qualifying marks for ranking the candidates.
• SC/ST applicants must produce their official certificates; otherwise, the rank they got at the TS ECET [FDH & BSc(Mathematics)] with the benefit of the relaxation of the minimum qualifying marks will be cancelled and deemed invalid. 

Factors Affecting TS ECET 2024 Cutoff

The following factors affecting the TS ECET cutoff 2024:

• The number of candidates who appeared for the TS ECET 2024.
• Highest marks obtained by a candidate in the TS ECET entrance exam.
• Marks obtained by a candidate subject-wise in the TS ECET rank card 2024. 
• The total number of candidates obtaining the qualifying marks.
• The overall difficulty level of the TS ECET 2024 entrance exam.

TS ECET 2024 Tie-Breaking Rules

Many times it is possible that candidates can have the same rank based on TS ECET evaluation and ranking. The authorities have set some tie-breaking rules in case one or more candidates obtain the same marks in the TS ECET rank card. The rules have been set based on different courses. The details for the same have been listed below. 

Tie-Breaking Rules for Engineering

If there is a tie in the overall results, the candidate with the highest Engineering-related marks will be given preference. If there is still a tie, the marks earned in Mathematics and, if necessary, physics will be considered to determine the relative ranking.

Candidates who receive the same grade in all four topics will be grouped for rank determination. The candidate's age will be considered at admission, with the older candidate receiving precedence.

Tie-Breaking Rules for Pharmacy

Candidates will be ranked based on merit in TS ECET.  In case of a tie, the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination will be considered.

On a further tie, age will be considered; the older candidate will be given priority at admission.

Tie Breaking Rules for BSc Mathematics

Candidates will be ranked based on the marks obtained in the entrance examinations. In case of a tie in the aggregate, the marks obtained in Mathematics subject.

In case of a further tie, the aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination shall be considered to resolve the tie at the time of admission. If a tie still persists, age will be considered; the older candidate will be given priority at admission.

TS ECET Counselling 2024

The TS ECET counselling registration process for Phase I began on 8th to 11th June 2024. Candidates who score the cutoff marks in the TS ECET rank card are eligible to participate in the TS ECET counselling 2024 process.
