Bidhan Chandra College Eligibility Criteria

It is mandatory for students at Bidhan Chandra College, Rishra to meet the eligibility criteria in order to pursue various courses and specializations in Science, Humanity, and Arts disciplines.

• Students must successfully clear the subjects in the previous qualifying examination before they can proceed to the next level of subjects.
• For admission to honors courses, students should obtain a minimum aggregate of 50% marks and at least 45% marks in the respective subjects.
• Alternatively, they can secure a minimum of 55% marks in subjects related to the examination they previously qualified, or a minimum aggregate of 50% marks when opting for honors in a subject not included in the previous qualifying examination.
• For admission to the B.Com Honors Course in Accounting and Finance, the term "related subject" refers to Mathematics, Cost Accountancy, and Principles of Management.
• Students who have failed to pass any subject related to the previous qualifying examination will not be permitted to choose honors in that particular subject.
• Those who have not cleared Mathematics in the previous qualifying examination will not be eligible for Honors in Economics.
