Delhi College of Engineering evolved into Delhi Technological University in 1965 and a State University in 2008. It is established in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic. In addition to being the second-oldest engineering college in the country, it's also the mother institution of many national institutes, such as IIT Delhi, NSIT, and the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS). DTU is accredited with an A grade by NAAC and ranks 36 in the NIRF rankings in 2021.

1. Ravi B. Grover
Ravi B. Grover is a nuclear physicist and mechanical engineer from India. He is the Homi Bhabha National Institute's first vice-chancellor and founder. The Indian Society of Heat and Mass Transfer elected him president in 2010. For his exceptional work, he received the Padma Shri honor from the Indian government in 2014. At the Bhabha Atomic Research Center(BARC), he formerly held the roles of Director of the Knowledge Management Group, Associate Director, and Technical Coordination & International Relations Group. In 2003, he also represented the BARC training facility at the World Nuclear University.
2. Raghbir Singh Bhola
Raghbir Singh Bhola, an officer in the Indian Airforce and a professional hockey player, represented India at the Olympics in 1956 in Melbourne and 1960 in Rome, when he brought home gold and silver medals for his nation, respectively. Except for 1956, Bhola captained the Indian Air Force Hockey and Services Hockey teams from 1954 to 1960, winning the Inter-Services Hockey Championship three times and the National Hockey Championship twice. For his achievements in Indian hockey, he also received the Arjuna Award in 2000.
3. Sushant Singh Rajput
Sushant Singh Rajput was an Indian actor best known for performing in Hindi cinema. He made his film debut with the financial and critical blockbuster Kai Po Che (2013). He played the lead in numerous popular Hindi movies, including Chhichhore, Kedarnath, and M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016). In addition to acting, he co-founded a tech startup and ran a non-profit charitable organization. He has been featured twice in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list since 2017.
4. Vinod Dham
Vinod Dham is a venture capitalist, engineer, and entrepreneur. He is renowned as the "Father of the Pentium Chip" for his contributions to developing Intel's Pentium microprocessor. Vinod Dham's accomplishments as a 'Pentium Engineer' and an Indian-American technology pioneer were featured in an exhibition at the storied Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. He was included among the top 100 most influential Asian Americans in 1999. President Bill Clinton appointed him to serve on the President's Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in 2000.
5. Arpita Singh
Arpita Singh is an Indian artist famous for her figurative work and modernist style. Some of her most well-known pieces include traditional Indian art forms and aesthetics, such as miniature painting and other folk art styles. Her painting is motivated by her upbringing and how society affects women.Arpita Singh has shown her work worldwide in solo and group shows. She has also received several awards for her work. Among them are Lalit Kala Akademi Fellowship(2014), Padma Bhushan(2011), Kalidas Samman, Bhopal(1998-1999), Parishad Samman, Sahitya Kala Parishad, New Delhi(1991).
