An aided college is a government-funded institution and the curriculum is authorized by any of the state-governed or central-governed universities. They receive grants and professional financial assistance from the government but it is privately managed by the college authorities. 

The faculties are hired after writing exams conducted by the respective state government or central government. The students are admitted on an academic or sports merit basis. What are Unaided Colleges? 

The unaided colleges are private and autonomous colleges that function based on their own set curriculums and learning modules for their students. These unaided colleges take care of their financial requirements by themselves and run the college independently.  

The faculties are hired based on their subject knowledge, work experience and ability to handle academic portions. The students are admitted based on their 10+2 board marks, management quota, and sports quota. The sports quota for private or unaided colleges is relatively less compared to government-aided colleges.
