Viswanathan Anand is popularly called Vishy because he is well known for that. He was born on 11th December 1969, and he is an Indian chess player. He rose to fame because he became a grandmaster and the former World Chess Champion, a big deal in the sporting world. Vishy became the first person from India to become a grandmaster in the year 1988. He held the title 'FIDE World Chess Championship' from 2000 to 2002; he became the first Asian to win this title, making him very famous.
