NCHMCT JEE exam day guidelines and instructions help students prepare better for the exam day. NTA (National Testing Agency) conducted the entrance exam across 91 exam centres in India. NCHMCT JEE 2023 exam was conducted on May 11, 2024.

The National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology Joint Entrance Exam (NCHMCT JEE) is a national-level entrance exam for hospitality. It is conducted for candidates planning to pursue a career in the hospitality and hotel industry. It is a three-hour exam. The candidates have 200 MCQs. The marking scheme follows +4 for every correct answer and -1 for the negative answers. 

NCHMCT JEE Admit Card Guidelines

NTA releases the admit cards of the respective students on its official website. Admit card is an important part of NCHMCT JEE exam day guidelines and instruction. Candidates have to download and carry the same to the examination. They can do so through the portal by logging in with their user credentials provided to them during admission. Here are a few important steps to take while downloading the NCHMCT JEE admit card.

  • Students have to log in to www.nchmjee.nta.nic.in
  • Students have to visit the “NCHMCT JEE Admit Card” link
  • Later, they have to click on the download option
  • Candidates have to enter their application no., date of birth, and the security pin in the login window
  • Students can then view and save their NCHMCT JEE admit card
  • Candidates are always advised to download their respective admit cards. They should also keep 2 copies for future reference and just in case, one is lost. 
  • The admit card is necessary while entering the exam hall. Without a hard copy of admit card, the students are not allowed inside the exam hall.
  • Candidates should also check if their details are correct on the NCHMCT JEE admit cards. If found wrong, they should immediately contact the helpline center and get it corrected.

Documents to Carry on NCHMCT JEE Day

There are a few documents that are to be carried mandatorily by the candidates while entering the exam hall. The list of documents to be carried by students during NCHMCT JEE are mentioned on their website. The most important documents to be carried inside the NCHMCT JEE hall are mentioned below.

  • Admit Card
  • ID Proof (voter card, driving license, aadhar card, or passport) 
  • Passport Size Photograph

NCHMCT JEE Dress Code

There is no specific dress code mentioned by NTA. Although, it is advisable to check the official website of NTA and the admit card instructions for any such rules and regulations. Candidates should also strictly avoid wearing smart watches, belts, and goggles. The advisable dress code for NCHMCT JEE is mentioned below.

  • Female Candidates: Casual wear. Avoid wearing jewelry/metallic items.
  • Male Candidates: Casual wear. Avoid wearing accessories.

NCHMCT JEE Exam Day Instructions

Candidates must read and follow the pre-exam guidelines, rules, and regulations to ensure a hassle-free and smooth entry into the examination hall. Listed below are some important guidelines to be followed on the exam day:

  • Reach the exam center at least 30-45 minutes before the reporting time
  • The admit card should be duly filled as per the instructions mentioned
  • Remember the lab/room number given to the students at the entry gate
  • Students should only carry ID Card, admit card, a pen, 2 photographs, a water bottle, and a hand sanitizer

Important Instructions for Students During and After NCHMCT JEE 

NCHMCT JEE exam day guidelines and instructions must be followed strictly. Students should take note of the following NCHMCT JEE exam day guidelines and instructions.

  • A4 size sheets are provided inside the exam hall for rough work
  • Candidates have to affix their photographs on the attendance sheet
  • There will be a security check at the exam hall before entering the hall
  • The exit and entry of the candidates are in an orderly manner
  • Applicants have to hand over their rough sheets to the invigilator
  • Students should strictly not be involved in any unfair means. If caught, they may be canceled from the NCHMCT JEE for the entire term

Make sure all the exam-related documents and items are well in order and prepared in advance

Report an hour or at least 30 minutes before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card

Carry NCHMCT JEE admit card and other related documents and photographs

Listen carefully to the invigilator’s instructions

Don'ts

Applicants should strictly not carry electronic devices, smartphones, smart watches, calculators, headphones, pen drives

Students should not carry heavy baggage to the examination center

Candidates should not alter their seats or change their assigned rooms without the knowledge of the invigilator

Things to Avoid in Exam Hall

NCHMCT JEE is conducted online every year. Hence, the candidates are advised not to carry any stationary items except a ballpoint pen. Mentioned below is a list of items students should not carry inside the hall:

  • Electronic gadgets
  • Edible items
  • Papers for rough work
  • Earphones/headphones
  • calculator
