Ahmedabad Physiotherapy College was found in the year 2009, having experience in education for more than 20 years. It began as a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) with the affiliation with the Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. In a span of three years, the institution was recognized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists, the IAP is a member organization of the World Confederation of Physical Therapy (WCPT) and UGC under the section of 2(f), UGC Act 1956. 

In 2015, after the establishment of Parul University by Govt. of Gujarat under the private university act 2009, the college has been a constituent college of the Faculty of Physiotherapy at Parul University.
