Placements & Internships :
There weren’t any on-campus placements for the first batch, as no company visited the campus. it is highly sceptical about any placements happening for coming few years.
Academics & Faculty :
All the faculties are fresh & inexperienced. While most of them are pursuing masters, not a single faculty is PhD. Attitude of most teachers is to gain some experience over here & then to move on once they find better avenues. The management doesn’t look after their staff properly; and they allegedly don’t pay teachers their salaries during vacations. Teachers are able to do fair amount of justice to first year subjects, but they fail to do so for higher years as the course becomes more focussed & demanding. This leaves most students unsatisfied with the faculty at hand and almost all students have to go for additional coaching classes. Also they are not able to adequately guide students for final year projects, compelling many students to directly buy readymade projects. Out of all branches, Electronics & Telecom has got marginally better faculties.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
There is only one partly constructed building for infrastructure. Ground floor and a portion of first floor are ready. Things like Wi-Fi & AC are too much to ask for when you don’t have basic stuff like classrooms, labs & washrooms as per the standards. In fact washrooms are so horrible that some students wonder whether attending to nature’s call in the natural surroundings of adjacent sugarcane fields would be a better option. Al Ameen is probably the only engineering college in Pune having a common hostel for boys and girls. The rooms are separate of course.
